Chapter One - My Pack

I jump out of bed when I hear my alarm clock go off. First day back at school....yay. Okay, school wasn't that bad, only that there's this one guy in my werewolf class that really makes my fur stand on end, in a friendly way! People call him 'Scar Face', but I would never call him that, he addresses us by our names - most of the time - so I won't do it to him.

"Hey Calla! Let's go!"

"Can it Ray I just got up!"

Ray, best friend of the Alpha. He's smart, flirty and friendly. Sometimes his friendliness and flirty-ness makes me want to punch him because I don't want to because he's so friendly.

"You know you love it when I annoy you!"

"Yeah...on my death bed!"

"Whatever you say!"

I laugh and throw on some black ripped jeans with loose chains hanging on the sides and a grey top. Making my way out of my room, I grab an apple from the kitchen and hop into Ray's car.

"I'm carpooling with you this year?"

He smirks and nods.

"Lucky me.."

"Very lucky."

Ray pulls up into the school parking lot and I see the rest of the pack sitting on the stairs.

"Hey Jonas!"

"Hey Ray!"

Jonas, the Alpha, looks over to me.

"Hello Calla. Looking as lovely as ever today.."

"Thank you Jonas, but please don't.."

"Don't what? Come on pup."

Pup. I'm not a little girl.

"I'm not some little girl."

"I know. And you're not like everyone else...which is why I love you."

"Jonas stop.."

He slides his hand around my back and pulls me closer to him.

"Hey! The lady said stop! So leave her alone.."

A boy confronts Jonas.

"Come with us."

"I - uh - well.."

Jonas nods and pushes me towards them.

"See you at lunch, pup."

"See ya Jonas.."

He walks back over to the pack but his eyes remain on me.

"Hey, you know you don't have to deal with right? Just come hang out with us!"

"Well...if you haven't noticed the ears and tail by now..I'd be concerned, but Jonas is our Alpha.."

"Alpha? Like the wolf Alpha?"

I nod my head sheepishly.
