Aeya's pov

"thanks mom, i'll see you later!"
i quickly get out of the car because damn, im late. im having a hard time looking for my class and since it's 2nd period, there's no sign of students around the hall. thankfully one of the teachers escorted me to my class.

i thanked the woman and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. the door swung open, revealing a man, maybe on his 30's? and yes, i can tell that he is irritated since i disrupted his class.

"you're the new student, yes?" i nodded
and he motioned me to come inside.
his English is quite impressive.

"okay class we have a new student. please introduce yourself."

"uhm.. my name is Aeya Rivera. i came from Los Angeles, California. uhm.. thank you and please take care of me."
i said and bowed as some of the students applaused. ah,jinjja? i thought, i am really nervous.

i just came here in Seoul from L.A. last month and i didn't really get to start the first semester but thankfully they still accepted me. and no i am not American, but i am Filipino. my mom actually got a job here in Seoul, not to mention that we have a relative that lives here so it's an easy start for us.

"thank you. my name is Mr.Chang and I will be your teacher for this school year. maybe the next if you're taking Korean class again." the man scanned the whole classroom and spotted an empty seat.
"you can seat right.. there! row 5, left side, between Jaemin and Mark."

w-wait.. Jaemin and Mark? as in Jaemin and Mark from Smrookies and Nct??
i trailed my eyes and made eye contact with Mark Lee, but I quickly looked away..
i quietly went to my seat, still sensing some eyes on me. i got more nervous when i approached my seat because well.. they're also looking at me, they're both boys, they're REALLY POPULAR and to also tell you that the seats are close to each other. i sat my butt down the chair, trying hard to adjust in my seat.

Mr. Chang intruduced the class purpose since im new. i forgot to mention that this is an English-Korean class so i will be learning Korean for this and the next school year. i did learn some korean so i think this class going to be easy? after that introduction, he resumed on where he left after i disrupted the class.

suddenly, someone's pen poked my hand. i slowly turned to my right and saw Jaemin smiling at me.
"annyeong! my name is Jaemin. the other guy on your left is Mark hyung."
i took a glance on my left, thank goodness that Mark have his attention to Mr. Chang.

why is it suddenly so hot in here?

"class dismissed!"

i swung my bag on my shoulder. Jaemin stood up and pushed his chair backwards, making a way for me to get out of the desk. "k-kamsahamnida"

"uwaaa~ your korean is not that bad."
he said, clapping his hands.
"and please don't be shy, just treat me like an ordinary student." he added, giving me a reassuring smile.
