A V A
I simply walked the halls of the hospital. Staying in the room all days sucks. I was all alone, no one to talk to, just an empty room.I saw how there where all these other people about as sick as me. I watched and scanned their faces. Their faces just filled with joy.
There is nothing to be really happy about. I don't understand. Nothing fun about your life being in jeopardy.
At all.
I wanted to go get some water, but I got caught up. I saw him once more... It's not the first time.
Lately, I've been seeing a boy. Looked about my age, medium skin tone, maybe even 5'7 to take a guess. Kind looking.
I always see him in other patients rooms. And he'd always have a Lanyard on but I never knew why. It's just always there.
I looked at him and the little girl laugh away. As if one of them told a joke that just tickled them. He's laugh was very silly, but it was flattering at the same time.
I crept away once I saw him stand up from the chair he was sitting beside her bed. Afraid to make it obvious, I went to go get my water and get back to my room. Besides, if I didn't sooner, nurses would've herded me back.
I realized I made it back in time when I watched him walk past my room. I only had just a few seconds to admire him.
What a beautiful soul.
