I slumped down the hallway, the first day of school is always the worst. let's just say I'm what you might classify as a nerd, no not a GEEK.... I'm strictly a nerd. I walked to the nearest bathroom to see what I was going to have to work with this year. Looking in the mirror was a bad idea. I wear these glasses that I'm pretty sure fell straight out of the 80's . I have somewhat tan skin, but I have long untamed caramel colored hair. As for my eyes, they are a bright emerald color, that's the one slice of beauty I have. It's like my genes wanted to taunt me. My teeth, on the other hand, have been in braces since the beginning of middle school, and they are finally coming off in exactly 21 days from today. I'm pretty average height wise, I'm about 5 foot 5 and I'm pretty skinny. I decided that I needed to step away from the mirror and be happy that at least I have one friend who thinks I'm beautiful. Her name was Claire we have been best friends since we were babies. We both share common problems like how we both share our hate for the "Popular people" or we call them "P.O.P.E.S" popes kinda like the guy in charge of the catholic church but instead the po is popular and the pe stands for people so we just call them the popes for short. They are the dumbest people at our school yet they rule it. Last week in science class Camilla Mcpherson said, " When you turn off the light are your turning on the dark?" Camilla is el #1 she always gets her way, and her 2 sidekicks are, Raquel, and Lindsey who share the same intellectual level as Camilla. They both think that they are popular but any smart person could tell you that their popularity comes from Camilla, they have their own crew, Claire and I have actually never talked to any of them, they probably don't even know we exist, but I think it's better that way but Claire says that we need to get to know them before we judge them. Enough about them how about I tell you about my first day of school.
