She was running. She had no clue where, just that she needed to run. There were voices behind her, and fear was in her eyes as she hurdled a fallen tree. She knew the area well, as it was where she had lived her entire life. She tripped and the voices were getting closer. Soon there were shadows around her and someone stepped out of them, a murderous look in his eyes. He lifted a large sword off of his back and the young girl moved her arms for protection, and he swung the sword downward.

The girl shot up from bed with a frightened scream, heart pounding and eyes welling up with tears. Her mother burst through the door, walking up to the young girl and hugging her. "It's ok (Y/N), was it that nightmare again?" She asked softly, you nodding. You see, you had been having nightmare's about ninja coming and killing your clan, and you running away, only to be tracked down and killed. Though this was the first time you saw the man's face in the dream. The first time he stepped out of the shadows.

"Did you see who it was this time?" You nodded and answered. "Soul.". Your mother's breath hitched in her throat and her eyes widened a bit. "You mean, your brother...?" You could only nod. You see, two years earlier your eldest brother Soul killed your father and left, burning the house down in the process. He promised he'd come back and finish what he started. You never forgot that day.

Your mother hugged you tighter. "Don't worry, it was only a dream. Nothing bad will happen, and your brother won't come back to finish anything." Your mother said, though she had no clue how wrong she was...

Later that day, somewhere else amongst the small town called U~indiōshan arashi no machi, or the town of the ocean breeze, somewhere near the gates, a cloaked figure was walking in. The hood was pulled over his head as he smirked, and the guards at the gates dropped dead. The cloaked figure laughed lightly, tilting his head up just enough so the red of his eyes were shining evilly and his wicked smile was displayed for all to see. He continued walking, leaving behind the dead bodies of the ones in his clan who were unlucky enough to be the gate guards that day.

Meanwhile, you were playing in the front yard, unaware of the deaths occurring throughout the small town. You were drawing in your yard with crayons, smiling happily as you tried to draw a lily, your mother's favorite flower. You were humming the lullaby you mother used to sing to you when all of a sudden you smelt smoke and your mother burst through the front door, her hair a mess and fear in her eyes. "(Y/N), RUN! HURRY!-" She yelled, her eyes widening and blood starting to drip from her mouth down her chin. You stared on in horror as you noticed the blade sticking through her, and saw the blade pull out and her dead body dropping to the floor, her lifeless eyes staring straight at you as you stared at her killer. They wore a hooded black cloak with a red ruby holding it together. The man was tall with black hair and sea foam eyes. The color sea foam occasionally flickered to a piercing red, and he stared at you with murderous intent. He had a sick and twisted smile and his hood was pulled down, and it seemed as though his eyes were piercing into your soul with the desire to see you dead on the ground, much like your mother. The flames behind him ate hungrily at the door and the house, and the fact that it danced around him, not daring to touch him told you those were his flames. He was controlling them.

He was your brother.

You screamed, running outside the fenced in yard and seeing your family's dead bodies littering the ground. You felt tears stinging your eyes and ran, refusing to look back. Your (H/L) (H/C) flowing behind you as you ran, letting the tears flow down your cheeks. You only looked ahead of you, hearing footsteps simply walking to follow you. You hurdled a fallen tree and ran, eventually tripping on a root. You saw your brother and desperately tried to back up, having broken your foot when you tripped.

He walked over to you, feigning sympathy. The sick twisted grin from before still present on his face, and his eyes half lidded now. His irises were fully red now, and if one look towards someone could kill them you would have died fifty two times right then and there. He was terrifying.

He raised his sword, still stained with your mother's blood, and you raised you arms defensively over your head in a futile attempt to block the strike that would come soon enough. He swung the sword down, and you awaited your death. You began counting down, one, two, three, but the pain never came. You hesitantly opened an eye and looked up, seeing your brother put away his sword. "You're not worth my time..." He said, the smile being replaced with a frown. "You're weak and puny, hardly a challenge. I'll kill you once you're worthy of me staining this sword with your blood." He spat, disappearing in a small but thick cloud of mist, his cloak dropping softly to the ground. You sat there and sobbed for a while, your tears flowing down your cheeks as the newly pouring rain drowned out your soft cries.
