Donald Fintch was a young and talented college graduate from Jackson Valley, Missouri with a degree in Economics. He told his parents he was going to New York to seek out a job with a secret plan to do what he truly loved. His flight took off at 1:00 pm in St. Louis. His parents already paid 4 months rent for him. When he showed up in China Town his apartment was pre furnished.
After a few days of getting settled he applied for his first job. A stage hand on the play "The Producers". His pay was low and manual work high. Day after day Donald moved props and went to get coffee. While working he stumbled and bumped into an actor named Annabelle. She was the prettiest girls he had ever seen. He told her " Oh I'm so sorry! I'm so clumsy." She quickly responded "It's okay. No big deal ... Hey you want to hang out after the play?" Donald said " I'd love that!" They shook hands and parted there way.
As Donald was sweeping the the director came up swearing. "Where am I ever gonna find another Leo." When Donald heard this his heart filled with joy. Donald quickly offered to do it but the director just stared at him. He started to walk around Donald. Donald started to sweat, he had never been so scared in his short life. At last the director opened his mouth it was the of truth. "Alright, sing for me." Said the director. "Yes Sir!" Donald replied. He had never sang that well in his life. Donald was pleased with himself. "Ok, go to wardrobe and tell them your the new Leo." Donald couldn't believe it. He rushed to wardrobe and told them with great joy. Once he was dressed in his full Leo Bloom suit he went to makeup and met his cast. They all called him the new guy. Donald was fine with being the new guy. All through out his life he was the new kid. When he was performing did so with such gusto that the cast had nothing to say. After the show all the cast was whispering to each other. Donald finally ask what was happening. The director said to him "We have never seen somebody perform quite like that." "What do you mean by that sir?" Asked Donald. "With such passion." Said the director. "Oh is that bad?" Asked Donald. " Well Leo Bloom isn't a very passionate character. Here there's an opening as Inspector Javet in Le Misérables. I'll get you an audition. You're talent is better used else where." Said the director. Donald had no words non at all. He mumbled "Ok sir." He them walked off. He went to see the girl he talked to at the start of the show and told her he couldn't meet up with her. "It's fine really. We all have tough times. I forget you didn't get my name I'm Eliza." "Nice to meet you Eliza. I'm assuming you heard my name?" Said Donald. Eliza nodded. Donald's walk to his apartment was a long one.
