All The Cliches

Prologue:

          Hi, I'm Aiden Ames. I specialize in a certain type of field of expertise. To some, it may not be honorable but the pay is much more comforting than the spiteful truth. 

          I'm not a player nor a ladies' man. The difference between what I do and those brute tag lines is that I don't sleep with my targets. Yes, I break hearts for the better of it's future, I lie more times in a day than I eat, but I never steal kisses nor do my targets.

           I do have a few rules to keep me grounded and to make sure that I can keep doing what I am doing for the long run.

           One, my missions must always be short-term. It helps prevent messy getaways.

   

          Two, never tell the truth about my personal life. I wouldn't want any stalkers.

           Three, my background story for each mission must be solid. Any slip ups would be fatal.

           Four, weekends are mission-free. I can't be lying on the weekends. It's rude.

          Five, never mix business with pleasure. My personal life and work life are parallel planes. If they were ever to meet, I'd be a dead man. Not from my targets or clients but from my brother and his family.

           Usually a guy of my field of work would have a rule about not falling in love but not me. I won't have to worry about that. No, I'm not married. I don't have a girl that I'm waiting for to come back nor do I have a secret girlfriend. No, I'm not gay though I see nothing wrong of it. It's just not for me. Ah, and I'm not down with love nor do I think the idea of love is overrated. Truth be told, I'm a big walking cliche when it comes to love. People then ask me 'Why? If not all those things, then why?' My answer is simple. Most people don't understand my answer but what do they care? They just want a job well done. And as long as I get paid, my clients' best interest is my best interest. On weekdays.

          So what happens when I get an offer I can't turn down? An offer that will not only break a few of my rules but also put my expertise to the test. I think that I am way in over my head but then again, this could be fun.

 Heyyy! So new idea for a story. It's not much to go on by but trust me, it gets better. I mean, in my head it does. xp
