It's the beginning of December, spring out, winter in. Kevin walked about the streets of Seattle, keeping warm in his leather Jacket. He stepped through snow, looking around at the houses surrounding him preparing for Christmas time. Back home, Kevin didn't have decorations outside, no lights hanging or a lovely Christmas tree inside his house surrounded by neatly wrapped presents for family and friends. Instead all his stuff was packed in boxes, laying around living room of the house, ready to be soon loaded in a moving van. Although Kevin was trying to be convinced by the people he knew most well in the city like family and friends he grew close and dear to, he was moving to Colorado tomorrow afternoon. Don't get him wrong, he loves it in Colorado, the community was full of great, maybe decent well-beings, but being far from his friends in Colorado began to be frustrating and hard on the young adult. He's friends always seemed to be busy with Creature related business, keeping a tough schedule for him to record with him. He began to continue let's plays and game plays alone, they didn't seem interesting anymore, they were no longer special. He felt his channel was starting to become boring, needing to record as much as he could when he got the chance with James, Aleks or Eddie. He decided that he would move down to Colorado, get a nice house down there, just to be closer to his fellow buddies. The thought of the idea made him happy. He would get to hang out with them more, see them more compared to seeing them for conventions. Kevin would get to talk to them face to face and more frequently rather than Skype chat as usual. He packed as soon as he could, making sure he was ready for his drive to Colorado, and asking one of his friends whom agreed to drive the moving van to and from.
"I hope you're sure about this decision Kevin." David said as they sat in the warmth or the coffee shop.
"I've never been more sure. I want this... I need this." He responded.
"If it makes you happy... Then I'm happy."
"Thank you."
David seemed as if he were about to cry as both men stood from their seats, ready to leave. Kevin noticing his expression pulled him in for a hug, giving him a reassuring pat on the back.
"I'm gonna miss you David." Kevin said trying to hold back tears.
"Promise you'll visit when you can?"
"Of course, I promise."
"Super pinkie swearzies?" He asked smiling through tears.
"Super pinkie swearzies" This finally broke Kevin as tears streamed down his face.
David and Kevin made up super pinkie swearzies when they were in the third grade of elementary school. It was a silly reason too, over a girl they both had the hots for and they agreed they'd never go out with a girl they both liked. Sorta like a bro code, for eight year old boys you could say, although that's not all super pinkie swearzies applied for. None the less, hearing it once more from his childhood best friend brought back memories for him, but it's not like Kevin was gonna me a sacrifice for medical experiments, well maybe that's exaggerating it, but what I mean is he's moving not dying. Letting each other go, they went their separate paths Kevin knowing exactly where he was going next. He made his way through his old neighborhood, it was a long walk, but he didn't care, this place was part of him. He passes by old houses he recognized when he was a kid, them being abandon or new owners now living on them. Flashbacks of the kids whom lived there, whom he'd played with and simply had fun with roamed his mind. Memories building up happiness like no other. Kevin finally reached his destination, squeezing his way through a hole in the gate and flashing a smile, this was his park.
Kevin came here all the time, it was like his get away, especially at night, now video games being his get away. The swings were rusted, so being the slide and all the other equipment around. When he first played there, it was new, the swings painted a vibrant red, all around the park everything was so multicolored. Of course, his favorite part of the park was the swings. He took a sit on his favorite one, the middle swing. He'd come here at around 9 o' clock in the evening each night, and swung as high as he could, reaching for the stars you could say. Kevin took a few steps back, getting a firm grip on the ropes, ready to swing. He released his feet, swing slightly then pulling his feet back on forth, picking up velocity and height. Each time he'd push his feet into the air, he grew higher and higher, beating the record of height he ever could when he was small. There was always something he wanted to try, but always resisted due to fear he'd get hurt or his mom would scold him for such stupidity. When he reached the tip of the swing he jumped off with a 360 spin and getting a steady landing as he reached the ground.
