Think of it like a video game. It's like Call of Duty, but you can't die and no-one can revive you. You're practically on your own to help them. Make sure they get home to what's left-they chose the ones who have no one left. The ones who wouldn't be missed. I know I wouldn't be missed...

That filled a little bit of anger in me. We all would be missed, our friends of whatever left of people we have would miss us. They'd miss them but no one but her would miss me. No one may know my past but someone can find out somehow and ruin my life. That's what I fear, just these past months people don't know who I was but who I am now. Even then I could always lie but the past always catches up.

I guess that's what I'm afraid of most right now. It catching up and getting to her, making me lose the only one I care about. The only one that loves me, even if it's just as a brother...

"For you guys that haven't been in the army, think of it like a game. You're protecting our people from this... Alienated type of human dead forms" Cap yelled, the older guys have been in the army, meaning Cap, Ethan, and Alec. So they're practically prepared for this. I ready my gun again, since I'm so nervous. We've been driving for two minutes which means they're ten more minutes away if we keep going to same pace, which is really slow. I don't see why we didn't walk if we're this slow. Not to be snobby but sometimes I think I'd be a be the better Cap. Well no one would really care but Cap if I start making calls, and now would be a good time to start shooting so they wouldn't get the catch on us if we're surrounded. These dead things aren't to be messed with, they can sneak up on you Amy moment.

"On my marks." Cap said. I looked in the scope, since I had a sniper rifle. This rifle means a lot to me. I took a deep breath and aimed for the head of the dead. So then I took the shot and so did everyone, I'm not going to make it out alive now. Either this hoard will kill me or Cap would, either way... I'm good enough.

I jumped off the buggy and got on one knee, trying to steady myself. I can get more shots, it's what we need anyways. As long as we keep them away and back far we'd be able-I felt somebody hit my head hard. That's the last thing I remember.

I jolted awake when I heard an explosion of some sort. I reached for my gun, and got up too fast sine I fell over because I was dizzy.

"Hey, Cap! He's up, and I still don't understand why the hell you did that. If we did do it on your marks, they'd be too close and could've closed in on us. He was right to make the shot.." Ryder's voice rang in my head softly. She wasn't like other girls, she was like a butch lesbian. Before this all happened, we all would check out girls together. Well not me, them but I just kept thinking about Paige.

Everyone knew I loved her, she didn't but she's so oblivious to the idea of love. Which I don't blame her, because of her last relationship she became numb. She flirted around, did all this stuff but never got feelings. He broke her heart so she broke theirs. He fucked her up badly and all I could do was watch since no one let me near her. Either it was jealous ex or people hating me too much. I couldn't reach to her on time.

"He disobeys orders." Cap firmly replied, and all everyone did was roll their eyes. We were sort of tired of his bullshit. Everyone thought he'd be good at Cap since he's so attractive. I mean hell, all our team is attractive. This is coming from a very straight guy.

"Doesn't give you a right." Ryder whispered and gave me a weak smile. I just grabbed my gun from him, and try to get the rest with what amo I have left. We didn't have much, we can just pick them off slowly, I mean there was typically 30. This time I stood down and took my orders since I need to get out alive.

"I don't get why he sent the best, I mean you can send one who has nothing to live for. And basically have a suicide bomber." Alec spoke up, and we all laughed.

"Maybe they just don't want us around." Nath added in. As soon as he said that there was that flash of a call for help. A flare went up and I knew something was wrong. It was a little too far away but not far enough so I couldn't see it.

"Or, maybe something is going on." I said as I pointed to the light. And everyone cursed under their breath.

"What are we to do?" I asked and Alec was already staring at me. So was everyone else, including Cap. I guess this is my time, I don't want to be Captain now, but if it saves her on time? Hell fücking yes, I'd love to save her. He knows what's right, right now. Cap sees it so I'm game.

"Well, you're the one with all the good plans. You tell us." He shook his head looking at me.

"Fine. We're not splitting up, no, bad idea. We just kill the rest and go after them. I have someone alive to keep in that caravan." I yelled and they nodded. So the ones sitting, meaning the snipers. They got up, and started shooting. The buggy stopped so it was calm to get a good shot.

"Where is she?" I yelled at Eric. I shouldn't have left him to take care of her, he was too tiny anyways. Fucking piece of shit.

"I-I don't know." He said as he curled up next to well.. his current dead girlfriend. She wasn't going to make it anyways, she was pregnant and we all said we wouldn't bring any new babies in yet until we find a stable place.

"Fuck you." I threw him back and he was about to get mad but he saw my gun.

"I just lost my girlfriend." He whispered. I just laughed.

"Yeah, and your ex. The one you "loved", huh? The one you broke. The one I fucking love. The one that I really hope can fix." I just shook my head and my team laughed.

"Now get up, we don't have time to mourn over this. Better now she's gone then what comes next." Nath tried to comfort him. He just got up and practically ran up beside me to just talk. I knew he was hiding his emotions, he looked stone cold.

"So.. Kyle. How is she?" He asked and I just nudged him. I shook my head and looked at everyone else behind me.

"Do you guys hear him talking? Oh my fucking god." I laughed and so did everyone. I did tell my team everything going on with her and what she's about on our first successful mission. They said open up and what bugs you the most so I did. Everyone did. Even Cap, and well Cap is gay.

"You can't just act like you care." Cap yelled and I nodded at him. Then I looked back at Eric.

"Here, if you're going to stay alive since you happen to be the only one left... Here." I handed him a gun, but with nothing in it. I didn't trust him, nor did anyone.

"They took everyone, but I stayed since she was knocked out and then she got shot.. it was accident since they were fighting." He whispered. He didn't love her. I knew because he still loved Paige. I mean who wouldn't? She was practically perfect. She had this adorable smile and she was really nice, and goofy, just so humble... Kind. Beautiful too.

"Who was fighting?" Alec asked coming up to us and we all stopped walking. We all looked at him, he felt so small because he was. I don't know what she saw in this.

"Some gang leader and Medias." He whispered and we all shook our heads. We all knew who automatically.
