CAMILA'S POV.
saturday | 5:45 amIt was early in the morning and the sun was slowly rising up. I woke up feeling nauseous than ever. Only one thing ran through my mind.
Recital performance | 6pm sharp.
Eh, a recital. So what? Is what your probably thinking. But, let me just tell you, this is no ordinary recital. With a huge audience, approximately 5,000+, you really can't keep your hairs from flying up. I've done recitals from here and there but, never anything huge.
All I have to do is wait.
Why not practice? Well, I learned the hard way about overworking myself. Back in 7th grade, I completely forgot the notes for my song and ended up embarrassing myself in front of the whole school. After that I never practiced the day of the recital and I just chilled back.
I like that word. "Chill."

Katlyn: Coffee?
Me: Maybe.
Katlyn: 7:00am.
Me: Fine.
___________________Is this paragraph that cliche introduction to where I go deep into who Katlyn is? Starting with "Katlyn is my.." bestfriend, she's been with me through ups and downs. What else is there to add? Her favourite colour? Her social security number? Birthday?
Well, I'm sorry. This isn't an ordinary book and we don't roll that way.
🌚🌚🌚🌚
Ya' feel?It was always great going out for coffee with Katlyn. Since she makes everything exciting. Library trips? Exciting. Algebra class? Exciting. Does this mean I use her for her ability to make things exciting? I honestly don't know. Don't we subconsciously use everyone? And I don't mean it in a bad way, I love Katlyn. NO LGBT.
Anyways, 6:45am hit fast and so did my morning routine. The more older I've gotten, the more faster time passes. It's odd. I've always wanted time to fly by when I was young, but now I'm sad. I walk out of my dorm and stand in the hallway.
Why you ask?
Forgot to mention. Katlyn lives right across from me.
The door swings open and standing there is a mischievous Katlyn. Her eyes dancing. God, it's too early for this. She gives me a huge smile. "I found a good caf-"
"Nope."
Katlyn frowns and crosses her arm. "Fine, grumpy old pig."
"Fine, crazy old witch."
"Fine, dirty boring B***H"
"Wow."
"I'm sorry."Without another reply we head straight to our everyday cafe. And if you're wondering, by "New cafe." She meant a bar. By the way, Katlyn's a lesbian. Another fun fact.

QUICK Q&A
"Have we kissed before?"- Once. But, it was urgent. You wouldn't understand. I can just forget about this adventure of mine and go off topic to tell you it. You wouldn't want that, huh?

[THIS IS SARCASTIC]We sit on the far end of the table, a couch seat with a nice view of the busy streets of Vancouver. Katlyn gives a quick look around the cafe and back down. "She's definitely my type." She eyes someone behind me. I turn around and see a girl with blonde hair. "Too average. She looks dumb." I rant. "Someone's jealous."
"What?"
"I'm kidding."I roll my eyes and look down at the menu. "So, how's Jenna and you doing?" I ask.
"It was only a one night stand. Nothing too serious. Speaking of one night stands. YOU need to get out there." She yells.
"Can you tune it down?" I whisper.
"I'm serious, Camila. You got the sexy librarian look that everyone wants. Honestly you can get a golden man.""Aw thanks. But, I don't have time for men."
"But, you have time for a golden man."
"What is your deal with gold?"
"Oh my god. I totally forgot. Your recital."
"Yeah, you better come earlier."
"I promise I will this time."
And pause. I know you people don't want to read a shit load of boring dialogue, so long story short we talk about shakespeare. Hearing that. Did you really want to read a dialogue full of shakespeare puns? Probably yes. But, I don't give a fuh. Going to the good part now. (;
"Look over there." Katlyn pokes at me. I look up from my pancakes. "What?"
"That guy is totally checking you out."
"I don't care."
"If you go to him and talk with him, I'll give you 50$."
"Really?"
"I promise."
It was tempting, I tell ya. I needed money for shit ton of things and honestly I couldn't back down from an opportunity like this. "So, only talk to him."
"Yes."
Was it that easy? Was she really going to hand me Half of a hundred (Saying that makes it look a whole lot more than it is.) just by me TALKING to him?
With confidence I gently slam the table and walk over to the table. "Hey." I smile.
The boy turns around with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. "He-hey!"
"I saw you over there looking at me and just wanted to say what's up."
"I didn't think you noticed or rather would even show up here, wow. This is unexpected.. I mean really unexpected-Oh right, I'm Marc by the way."
A shy type. I like it.
I smiled and gave my signature lip bite. "I'm Camila."
Again long dialogue in which I am dead ass lazy to add and you, the readers, would not want to read. So, we talked for awhile and talked about our interest. He ordered me a drink and we talked more. Yep.
From the corner of my eyes I see katlyn walking over to me. "Hey, we have to go." She says.
"Oh, wait."
I was just getting to like the conversation. Damn."Sorry, excuse my girlfriend, she's had too much and I forced her to talk to you."
"Kind of true, bu-"
"See? Anyways, bye."
Katlyn dragged me away from the guy and outside the cafe. "What's your problem?"
"That guy, I sense danger."
"God, you sense danger in every guy I talk to. Besides, you told me to talk to him, give me my 50$."
"Okay, but seriously he had his han-"
"50$"
"Fine."
She grabbed out her wallet and tossed out a real 50$ bill. She slapped it hard on the palm of my hand and walked off. "Find your way back home. I'm going hunting."
"Be safe!" I yell with a smile.
"Ya ya."
I walk back to my dorm with excitement. I couldn't believe I actually got money out of Katlyn, especially since I had a few financial crises going on. Living on instant noodle is not nice. I came back to my room and threw my bag in. Laying flat on my back on the bed, I looked up to the ceiling. My stomach nauseous. One thing came to my mind.
I'm performing at the recital.
