"Come on Gabby. I Can't go by myself".
"Yes you can! You climbed up that tree to get you in here by yourself! Waking people up at 2:38 in the morning knowing we have school tomorrow." I sighed grammatically. Cameron rolled his eyes.
"Don't be a baby!" He laughed.
"Cameron are you stupid you can't possibly think I'm going over there!"
"Take a risk!" He yelled.
"I am taking a risk! That risk is staying alive!" I threw my pillow at him which he caught automatically. I sighed I was hoping he would have got some sense knocked into him. He smirked.
"Gabby please!!" He yelled .
"Cameron I said no. No means no!"
Cameron was trying to make me go to the scary neighbors house across the street to get his ball that I threw over there this morning. I mean it's not my fault that he can't catch a ball.
"Please Gabby!"
"No Cameron!"
2 years ago a 7 year old boy went missing. The police believe he ran away but the last place he was seen in was in the house across the street. They don't have all their clues together.
The person who lives across the street is a man. His name his Mr. Bubbly. His wife died in that very house he lives in now. My mom told me he believes that his wife is still in the house. He gets mad even when you step on this grass. He's super scary. So if Cameron thinks I'm going to that house he is crazy.
"You've always said you want a adventure. Here I'm giving you one."
"Yeah like a pirate adventure or Peter Pan adventure! Not one that I'm going to die! And for what? A stupid ball!" I yelled.
"Don't forget a ball that "you" threw over there!" He pointed an accusing finger at me. I gasped.
"Hey it's not my fault some people don't know how to catch!" I smirked.
"Please I climbed this tree to ask you to come and you won't"
"No one told you to climb the tree!"
"No one said you have to be so stubborn!"
"Cameron I'm not going. I'm suppose to be sleep."
"Exactly your suppose to be sleep but your not. So why go back to sleep when you could have some fun and come with me?" He pointed outside.
"I'll tell you what. You go home get some sleep and I will too. Then in the morning we'll tell our parents to kindly ask for the ball back." I yawned.
"You always say I'm boring well look who's boring now!" He smirked.
"CAMERON YOU WOKE ME UP FROM MY SLEEP TO THINK I'M GOING TO A CRAZY OLD MANS HOUSE TO GET A DUMB BALL!! BUY A NEW ONE FOR GOD SAKES! I'M NOT GOING SO STOP ASKING! FOR THE LOVE OF JEAUS CHRIST YOU DUMB NARCISSISTIC, EGO MANIAC, LITTLE---- Cameron covered my mouth with his hands to shut me up after my little mental breakdown. There is so much a girl can take.
"Shut up you'll wake someone up!" He whisper yelled. I rolled my eyes. He still had his hands on my mouth so I licked his palm. He jerked back moments after.
"Eww! Really Gabby? For the love of popsicle sticks!" He wiped his hands on his jeans.
"Maybe keep your hands to yourself!"
"That didn't mean you had to lick me Gabby!" He yelled.
"Shut up you'll wake someone up!" I whisper yelled. Mocking him from a couple seconds ago.
"Now are you going or not?"
"No I'm not." He groaned.
"Fine whatever."
"Yeah now get out my room!"
"I was planning on it!"
"The faster you go the more sleep I get!" He walked a slower pace just to make me mad.
"Cameron for the love of god if you don't walk any faster I'm going to throw you out the window!" He laughed.
"I like to see you try!" He smirked.
"Don't get cocky with me!" He giggled.
"Ok whatever! Bye butthole!" Cameron screamed as he climb down the tree.
"Bye! Cameron be careful please!"
"I'm not promising anything."
With that he ran across the street. I shacked my head thinking about how dumb he was for doing this. Before he ran in the yard he waved. I gave him a thumbs up and closed my window. Since Cameron woke me up from my peaceful sleep I went back to sleep.
~Next morning~
I woke up to detectives outside next door. What in the world happened. I was only sleep for 7 hours. I ran outside and saw that Mrs. Dallas was crying. I ran up to her and hugged her. She looked stocked but hugged back seconds later.
"Mrs. Dallas what happened?"
"C-cameron h-he's miss-ing. They think he ran away." She said while crying.
"That can't be true!" She shook her head.
"It is! He didn't come back home last night. He should have. Cameron's a very smart
boy. I wouldn't be surprised if he's been planing this all along." She sighed."Your wrong! Cameron wouldn't do that!" I let go of her.
"You'll be surprised of what people are capable of Gabby! I'm just glad he didn't get you involved in his foolishness." She patted my back.
With that my heart shattered. My best friend that I've know since I was 3 is missing? I mean come on he gets himself in the dumbest situations but he always finds his way around them. I backed up and looked at her like she had two heads.
I ran and ran until I couldn't run anymore. People in cars were looking at me weird but I didn't care. I ran to the only place I could calm down. The cliff.
I sat down and looked at the beautiful blossoms. And thought of Cameron so I cried again. I pulled my knees up and put my head down. Then a thought came to me.
The last place I seem Cameron was across the street. No no Cameron can't. Cameron didn't run away, Cameron was stolen.
