Amoura heads down the next afternoon and joins the others at the dining room to eat before going out again to look for more survivors. Already Lab and Doe were against the idea of bringing more survivors in.
"You don't get to stall us, we were given a mission by our Captain and until he tells us otherwise we will do as ordered. So stand down and get the hell out of my way. We will help those who need it."
"We have no supplies!" This angers Amoura, she flew out of a vehicle last night for supplies, "we just collected four crates last night, what the hell have you been doing that you have no supplies!" She growls at them.
"If you go you will not be using our vehicles, we need those in case of emergencies."
Amoura doesn't skip a beat, "don't worry I'll use the trucks I returned with last night."
Stone storms out after telling her unit to be ready. Williams hands her a plate of food before they take off.
Stone opts to go out in her wolf form while Williams rides in the back of the truck. Amoura growls when they come across waiting humans. She runs to the alleyways and takes down those hiding behind cars or trash cans. Once she clears the stragglers from the streets she howls to let Williams know the streets are clear. Stone returns for her clothes and changes before heading to the roof and getting clear angles.
"Go, there are heat signatures in the apartments down the first street," Amoura says to Williams through the earpiece. Williams and his unit head into the apartment and sweep floor by floor. They evacuated the building and take the people to the bank volt since the street goes under fire.
"From the east, six trucks, about twenty humans. They're trying to get to the hired ground," Amoura spies on the humans through the rifle scope and waits for the best clear shot to hit the grenade on top of boxes full of explosives.
"Street clear, go around the block to make sure stragglers are taken care of," once all the humans are taken care of Williams and Stone get the people the found back to the base.
Amoura wakes up with mail under her door. On the back was badly erases words. Amoura grabs a pencil and lightly traces over them. "Don't trust S.L. Lab and Doe. Stone this could be a trap."
"It can also explain why we haven't seen our Captain or theirs," Williams points out.
"It also explains why Lab acts like he runs the place," Amoura adds.
"We need to find them, before it's too late," Amoura agrees with him.
"The only place we haven't gone to is the church in town," they pull out a map and look at the whole town.
"Then lets go," Stone and Williams come up with a plan before taking their unit back into town.
Lab catches them packing the trucks and gives them four men and two medics to take with them. 'Just to be on the safe side,' he comments before letting them go.
Stone looks to Williams, he nods, "alright everyone pack it in. We leave in two."
"You going Stone?" Doe asks her.
"No, I wanted to stop by the medical wing and make sure my wound healed properly," Stone waits till Williams leaves before searching for the writer of the warning.
She heads to the medical ballroom where the main doctor was organizing the place, "excuse me doc, how long has this unit been here?" He turns and looks like a deer in headlights, he quickly recomposes himself before answering her.
"Since the beginning. When things out of hand those nearby were sent in, my medical unit if from Forth Worth and so is Captain Loki's," He walks up to her as she removes her shirt so he can remove the gauges.
"You've completely healed, S.L Stone. You're healing abilities are quite extraordinary. Have you felt any discomfort?" He asks her as he cleans the dried blood.
"No, I haven't," The medic nods nervously.
"Good."
"Doc, why do you think people go against the majority?" Amoura asks casually.
"Well, its been proven some people are just born leaders and they tend to choose their own paths. Other times their life experience has taught them the difference between necessary evil and just plain wrong." He's trying to justify it.
"That's not what I asked though."
The medic looks at her, "put it is, some go against the majority because they see things differently and I'd one of those is a leading personality others who either have the same opinion or are to scared to say something will follow," Amoura nods.
"Yet both are invalid reasons to do nothing and let innocent get hurt," the medic sighs.
"A blind man can't see what he's doing wrong," Stone stares at his notes and traces the familiar handwriting.
"We do what we can to protect those who can't protect themselves," Stone comments and he nods.
"That's why the S.I.D.O was created," he speaks up as an afterthought.
"Thank you, doctor," Stone walks back into the lobby and a short, built, blond man was giving orders.
"Captain this is S.L Stone, she claims to have been sent here by her Captain," Doe points her out to Captain Loki.
"S.L. Stone, I'm sorry but we haven't gotten any Captains. I am Captain Loki, Lab and Doe are my S.L's and were left in charge while I tried to negotiate with the humans," Loki rests his hand behind his back as they walk to the dining area.
"May I ask how it went, sir?" Amoura asks as they sit down.
"Not well, they want supernaturals gone."
"Sir, may I speak with you in private please?" He nods and tells her he hopes she doesn't mind walking for he was on his way to his office as soon as he got his dinner.
