I stared up the sky. Dark blue with dabs of black.

"Look at the way they shine," He said looking up admiringly.

"Its like silver and golden glitter. Or maybe splatters of white paint on black paper. Its art." I stared at him. His pale complexion, his dark hair slightly covering his jet black eyes. Suddenly, his expression changed. He stared down, looked at me and frowned.

"Am I boring, Margaux?" Boring? Doesn't he know how fascinated I am to hear his voice talk about something he is enthusiastic about?

"Of course not.. I just enjoy watching you talk and smile about something you actually love." I signed to him. He looked at me, for a really long time smiling like a complete idiot.

"Why are you smiling like that? Stop staring." I gestured again. I looked away, feeling a bit awkard.

"Its nothing. Sorry." He laughed after and a long silence followed.

"I'm an astrophile. But I hate the darkness. I love things with color."

"You love art don't you?" I gestured with my hands and smiled at him.

"As much as you love poetry." He pinched my nose and walked ahead of me. I caught up with him even though it was quite hard because he had incredibly long strides.

"I tried drawing you once you know." And I tried writing about you once but you obviously don't know.

"You're really hard to draw. I can't draw you for some reason." We both stared up the sky.

"Its amazing don't you think?" He asked. I looked at him questioningly.

"The stars. The sky.. Knowing that we are all just small specks in the universe. We're absolutely nothing. There are billions and billions of stars in this galaxy alone. What if...what if each star gives birth to two souls and those two souls will wander different worlds and one day meet again just to bite the dust. And maybe the moment will come when their souls come back to the same star just for the cycle to repeat all over again..... Margaux?" I was so overwhelmed by all the words. It took me a bit to take it all in.

I nodded at him as a "what" He looked at me for a long time. He rested his head on my shoulder and intertwined his fingers with mine.

"What if we're not from the same star? What if we're just wandering this earth in search of another soul and just bumped into each other?"

I looked at him and signed, "What are you so afraid of?"

"I'm afraid.. I'm afraid of not coming home to the same star as you."
