"Do you think I should get her this?"

His voice breaks your trance and you turn to meet his gaze. The both of you had been going around in circles looking for a damn "promise ring" to give to his girlfriend.

"Seb, its a promise ring.. Not an engagement ring"

You breathe out. You try your best not to look exhasperated and envious as he looks down at the glass, viewing all the sparkly little rings that could fit a queen.. Not Melanie. "I just can't decide, Bubs. She deserves the best" he says and your heart aches as he turns to you with that goofy smile you fell in love with years ago.

You, Seb and Melanie had been a trio, and no matter how much you hated Mel for snatching up Seb.. You can't seem to do it. You sigh and tap his shoulder, almost tip toeing to reach it "I think that one looks great. I dont know much about jewelry but knowing her taste in them, that's the one" you finally say and his face lights up like the puppy that he is "you're right bubs! That's amazing! Thank you so much.. I knew I could trust you!" He almost sings before wrapping one arm around your neck.
