The day I have been waiting for since school started. The last day. Even though we graduated we had the option of coming back to participate in field day with the rest of the school.

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I was surprised when I seen Summer in there stepping out the shower.

"Look who's up early for once." I said shocked.

She chuckled. "It's the last day, I had to be up early, I didn't wanna miss anything."

I nodded in approval. "Cool."

"Mhm." She nodded her head too.

Summer started braiding her hair while I went to start my morning routine.

By 7:15 we were both ready and dressed.

"Let's walk to McDonald's real quick since we still got 30 minutes before we gotta be at school."

"Ok." I mumbled as I pulled my hat on my head.

"Hate the fucking sun."

"I swear." I said as I found a twenty in my back pocket. "Breakfast on me." I shrugged.

"Cool."

"What's your plans for Summer, Summer?" I chuckled.

She laughed too. "Don't have any. Probably catch up on sleep. How about you?"

"Jeremiah asked Ty could I go on his family vacation with him and she said yeah."

"Wait, it's a family vacation though." Summer said putting emphasis on family.

"Well his brothers and sister are bringing their boyfriend and girlfriends so Jeremiah decided to take me."

"So that makes you his girlfriend?" A smirk came on her face.

I rolled my eyes. "No. I don't know." I sighed.

"Better ask." She said as we walked into McDonald's.

We ordered our food, paid, and started our way to school in silence due to the fact that we were both eating our food.

When we got to school we were both done and threw our trash away as we walked in.

"You should come to my class today." Sum suggested.

"Sure, I'm pretty sure we ain't doing shit in my class today." I followed her towards her class.

While we was walking I noticed some of the other eighth graders were back.

"Hey" I said as I hugged my friend, Tyshawn.

"Who's all here so far?"

"Uh, Me, Jacob, Chris, Zoey, Tia, Lola, and Jordan." When he said Jordan I turned to see Summer staring at him, with a irritated look.

"Are you serious?" Shawn nodded.

"Where y'all at?"

"In y'all classroom." He said, but Summer already walked into the room before I could warn her.

I walked in Sum's class and seen her and Monae sitting at one of the group tables.
