The Last Love

The Beginnning

"But know this Jo, if you record this call, am gonna kill you." said Ron, who was talking to his best friend in college, Jo. Ron and Jo are best friends from the 1st year of the college, and now they are in their 3rd year. Ron is in mechanical stream, while Jo is from electrical and electronics stream. It is their daily routine to talk at nights, especially now that Ron recently had a break up with Maya.

Jo always used to ask Ron to sing songs for her, as she liked his voice. She would make her best friend and roommate, Riya to listen to his voice. Riya was very orthodox, shy, and very reserved girl. Every day when Jo used to call Ron, Riya would also tag along and listen to him. Listening to his voice daily, made Riya to imagine about him. She loved his voice, and Jo noticed this. She told Ron about Riya, and a girl getting attracted to him made Ron excited. They did not have smartphones then to share each other's pics. So Ron was begging Jo to make him meet Riya. Riya also never saw Ron, and had an imagination of his looks based on the voice she heard. Ron was Jo's best friend, and that's the only reason that Jo liked him, but Ron was a Casanova, he never believed in love for long terms. He used to flirt with girls, impress them, make them love him, be in a relation with them for sometime, and then when things get complicated, he just breaks up and look for other girl. But Riya was exact opposite of Ron, she dint want to do anything to hurt her parents, so she never spoke to many guys.

It was Sunday, and Ron was roaming in the city with his friends, it was a typical holiday schedule for Ron and his friends. He was near the bus stand when Jo called him.

"Guess what darling, am out with your Riya, and I saw you. She dint see you, and we are on the way back to hostel." Ron was pissed off as Jo was teasing him keeping Riya as a reason. He couldn't see his Riya even on that day. Things went on like this for about 2 weeks and Riya never cared much about Ron as she never got attracted to boys. She was studious, and was concentrating on studies, but Ron was imagining how Riya would look. He really wanted to see her at least once, as his plan was that if she is not beautiful, he would stop thinking about her.

After two weeks of restlessness, it was exam days. Ron was prepared for his exam and was on his way going to his exam class. That's when he saw Jo. She was coming in the opposite direction of Ron. Jo was with a girl that he never has seen before in the college. She was shorter in height than Jo, around 5'4". She saw Ron, 5'9", wheatish complexion, beard. "He is Ron." said Jo looking at that girl. Ron was perplexed. That girl dint have any qualities of his dream girl, but still there was something bout her that made him look at her again and again. Riya on the other hand, hid behind Jo and walked away in a timid manner.

That was the first time Ron and Riya saw each other. Both were not like how they imagined bout the other person. Riya dint have Ron's dream girl quality, Riya imagined Ron to be 6 foot tall, fair, clean shaved and a man wearing spectacles. But Ron was nothing like that. Ron was just getting the image of timid Riya throughout the day. The scene of Riya looking at him and hiding behind Jo was replaying in loop for the whole day to Ron. At night he called Jo, asked for Riya. "Today when I saw you two together, I liked it Ron, I know about you, you will surely impress her, but don't leave her. I want you to be with he forever. You both look nice together." said Jo in phone. Ron was not interested in any kind of relationship. He just wanted to talk to Riya. It has been almost a month since both have known bout each other, saw each other that day, but are yet to talk to each other. Ron was kind of a guy who never asked girls their numbers. So he was just controlling his feelings coz of his ego and attitude.

When will he get her number?? Riya is not the kind of a girl who can be impressed so easily or can be flirt with. She was an orthodox woman, who was not interested in all these kind of stuffs, but something drew her towards Ron. Will she talk to Ron?? Will Ron successfully impress Riya??
