RECAP
"Well, I'll see you after school then." He said slowly walking the opposite way.
"Yupp!" I said with a real, genuine smile on my face.
Today is going to be fun!
8) So this is my house.
The rest of the day went by at a normal pace, not fast, but it didn't drag on either. When I was in Geometry, my final class of the day, I was very excited and I don't even know why. It was going to be like any other day with my friends coming over. Yeah, but Josh is gonna be there too. My mind added. Yeah... so? I retorted in my mind. So... you li- but before I could finish that thought the bell rung meaning it was FINALLY time to go home.
With a smile on my face and a skip in my step, I made my way to the sophomore parking lot. When I got there, I noticed the guys, at Jake's car which was next to mine. I also noticed the fact that Josh was there and they were all talking like they have always been friends. Of course people were staring, but I decided to put that at the back of my mind. With that, I walked up to my car.
"Hey babe" said Drew. I was about three feet away from them, and just then, Josh turned to look at me. Immediately our eyes locked, and I could see happiness, excitement, and nervousness in his eyes. We don't block each other out from our true feelings and emotions like we do to other people. When we are together, we are safe to be the person we're afraid to let everyone else see.
"Hey guys." I answered after I realized me and Josh had been staring at each other for a while and I hadn't yet returned his greeting.
"Right...okay! so we are gonna take off, while you guys go drop his car off, and then when you get home we'll be in the game room. Just go when you guys finish brainstorming and whatnot. But don't think too hard.. we wouldn't want your brain to explode." Said Ismael with a teasing smirk. I just rolled my eyes, only making him laugh.
"Okay. You guys have your keys right?" I asked.
"Of course jazzy babe we all have keys, and we ALWAYS have them with us... Well! The game room awaits.!!" Exclaimed Patrick pumping his fist in the air. Right after that they all piled into Jake's car and drove off.
"So, where's your car?" I asked him.
"Oh it's about five cars down that way" he said pointing to the right.
"Okie dokie, well you go get it and I'll follow you out. yeah?"
"Okay sounds good." And with that said, he walked off.
I got into my car, turned it on, buckled my seatbelt, and put it on the rock station. "Santeria" by Sublime was playing. Instantly I started singing as I pulled out of my parking space and went to the right, where Josh said he'd parked.
Sure enough, he was pulling out of his parking space. And then he drove off, with me following behind.
We drove for about ten minutes until he turned onto a street. We were in the, I guess "middle class' part of town. I lived in the rich part full of ginormous mansion looking houses, these houses were average. Not too big, but not too small. Most were two stories and looked cozy and comforting... Nothing like my big, empty, lonely house.
He pulled into the 5th one on the left and it looked the same as the rest, two stories and cozy, but I knew that that home, was anything but cozy, comforting, or warm. Josh told me about his father and everything that happens at home. So yeah, I know.
A little while later he came, opened the passenger side door and got in, his clothes and toothbrush in his hands, but what stood out the most was the scowl on his face that practically made me flinch and it wasn't even directed at me.
