Abigail's POV
I was rushing down the street with Luis and Scarlett - my bodyguards- as I had to go to the shop to buy a drink ready for my run. Seeing as we had no energy drinks in the White House the shop was my only option. Of course, being the Presidents daughter, I cant be aloud out by myself invade someone tries to kill me. I didn't ask to be born famous but it's just how my life is. It's just sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be normal. To go to school, go to the mall with my friends and be able to be left alone.I picked up the bright blue bottle and made my way to the cash register, Luis and Scarlett following behind me, dressed in their all black uniform with the pilot shades that came curtesy with the job. "That will be £1.20 please." The cashier informed me. I pulled out my purse from my jogging shorts and found the correct money. I handed it over to the man whilst he gave me my receipt. "Thank you." I politely said as Luis held open the door for me.
As we walked down to where the car was parked, I opened the door and reached for my hoodie. Once my hands had grasped it, I pulled it over the top of my sports bra and plugged in my headphones. "Just this once," I began.
"Yes miss Chase?" Scarlett stated.
"You can leave me by myself. I can handle it I mean I am 25 tomorrow." I said with a smile on my face, knowing that once tomorrow was over I was aloud out with no guards.
"Well go ahead Kiddo." Luis said with a smile as he pulled off his sunglasses. I gave him a quick hug and began to start my run. As I pressed play the song Ocean eyes started to play. It was my favourite song as it claimed me down considering the busy life that I had.As I ran past the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, I noticed a blonde haired man staring at me holding a phone to his ear. It made me suspicious and I would have loved to beat him up for staring at me. Taking me thoughts off of the man, I checked the time on my Michael Kors watch that I received on my 18th birthday and it read 7:50. I should have been back 45 minutes ago! I rushed back taking the quickest route to the White House not bothering to stop to catch my breath.
I finally arrived at 8:27 back home where my very angry Dad was waiting for me. " Hi Dad. I'm really sorry I'm late but I was out for a run and I left Luis and Scarlett so they couldn't find me. It was only because I ran off and they didn't see." I rambled.
"It's ok Abi just don't run off again." He said, surprisingly calm. I rushed up to him and gave him a hug. "Anyway, I paid SHIELD to keep an eye on you whilst no one else can. Why else do you think that man was staring at near the Reflecting pool?" He spoke into my ear and I pulled away from the hug my Dad finished his sentence.
"Wait. You know that guy?" I cautiously asked.
"Honey all of America knows him."
"Please tell me it wasn't who I think it is!" I pleaded.
"Yes it was." Damn it. I ran past Steve Rogers and didn't even notice.
