Captain Levi's Apology (Levi x Eren)

//about a week later.

"Go away." I whispered, failing at sounding tough. Levi ignored me. I was still kind of hurt, but I was glad he was here with me. We walked in silence to my room, oh the painful silence.

"I'm going right to sleep you know. I'm tired." Levi just shrugged. O-okay? I removed my maneuver gear and sighed, we had such a busy day. I wasn't lying when I said I was tired. I was really really tired. I changed awkwardly into my pajamas aware of Levi in the room, but he was looking out the window.

"Goodnight," I watched him ignoring me even more, whatever. He'd leave soon enough. I crawled into bed and faced away from Heichou, eyes wide open. A short time later there was the familiar sound of gear being unbuckled, boots being removed.

Levi slid under the covers next to me, enveloping me in his arms and snuggling into my neck.

"Leave," I whispered, half hoping he wouldn't. "You won't acknowledge me at all but you're more than willing to jump into my bed. It's both or neither Levi."

I could practically hear him roll his eyes. Little shit. "You're supposed to make eye contact when speaking to your superiors ." My turn to roll my eyes, and sit up, "okay so answer me," I glared. He sat up and met my eyes, expression as blank as always.

"Just keep it a secret a little longer. I'll stop ignoring you. But you really should sleep, we have to get ready to go outside soon."

"Why do we have to keep it a secret..?"

Silence.. Okay. We lay back down, facing each other.

"I'll keep it a secret as long as you want Levi, just don't ever desert me okay? Don't leave me by myself.." I cursed myself as soon as the words came out. How childish. How pathetic, needy, girly. How- Levi answered with a soft kiss, and a shadow of a smile. I smiled back and drifted off.

//a few days later

"How could I say that? We aren't even much of a couple, much less a long term couple..." I questioned myself all during the training, and Hanji's crazy tests.. We were leaving soon and we had to be ready. Mikasa walked up , "you're talking to yourself.. That's not good." I shrugged. She raised an eyebrow "ready to see what's in that basement soon?"

"Yeah.. I just hope we all make it."

"That's unrealistic Eren.."

I frowned, "I know, but everyone who's close to me at least.. I need you all."

She nodded "I know how you feel."
