Niall’s POV

What was happening? Why is everything so dark? Where’s Paige? How come I can’t see where I am? Where am I? What happened? How come I don’t remember what happened? Where is Paige? “Paige!” I yelled. No one answered. “Paige!” I yelled once more and still no answer. It was dead quiet, which scared me a bit. I kept walking, but I still found nothing in the dark. I couldn’t see anything so I really didn’t know what I was walking towards to. “Paige!” I yelled crying this time a little bit terrified of not knowing where I am and how dark it was. What was honestly happening? I felt so alone and cold. Where could she be? Did she leave me? She can’t just leave me. We went through so many things together and she just can’t leave me like this. I gave up and sat down crying in my hands. I suddenly saw a light coming towards me. It was a little girl who looked exactly like Paige, but with blue eyes and light brown hair. “Hi sweetie, are you lost too?” I asked trying to wipe my tears to hide that I was just crying. “No, I am where I’m meant to be. Can I ask why you are crying mister?” She asked with her cute little voice obviously noticing my blood shot eyes from crying. “I just can’t find where my fiancé is and I don’t know where I am.” I sighed. “I’m sorry to hear that.” She said sadly. “You don’t need to be sorry it’s not your fault. I’ll just keep looking. Do you mind coming with me maybe you can help me? I think I need some company.” I asked smiling at her. “Sure, I have nothing else to do.” She said holding out her little hand waiting for me to grab it. When I did grab it I felt a warmness that was so familiar. “What’s your name love?” I asked. “Penelope Nicole.” She smiled. I smiled back at her and we walked.

As we were walking I observed her every move and something about her just seemed so familiar to me, but I can’t seem to point out what it was about her. She was so playful and it reminded me of myself, but at the same time she can be timid and kind like Paige. “Why are you staring at me?” She asked shyly. “I don’t really know. You just remind me of my fiancé and me. How long have you been here?” I asked. “For weeks now.” She explained. “Why can’t you leave this place?” I asked. “Someone told me I couldn’t leave until my parents let go of me. I don’t really get what he meant though.” She explained. “What do you mean let go?” I asked. “Well, someone told me that I died when I was still in my mom’s stomach. Since then every day I’ve been growing into what age I am today.” She explained. I was shocked could it possibly be that Penelope was my daughter? “Do you know that names of your parents, love?” I asked calmly trying to not cry in front of her. “Niall Horan and Paige O’Loughlin. Someone said they were the most loving people. How what happened was an accident and how they were so torn about me dying. They just couldn’t let go.” She said softly tearing a bit. I suddenly got down on one knee and hugged her. “Penelope.” I said smiling. “I’m Niall. I’m your father.” I said making her eyes go wide.

“Daddy?” She asked with tears flowing down her face. “Penelope.” I whispered and hugged her tightly. “I can’t believe it’s really you. You’re so beautiful just like your mother.” I smiled. “Really? Is she here with you?” She asked. “I don’t know. I thought you were helping me to find her remember?” I asked her and she giggled. “Sorry. I forgot. I was just excited to finally meet you.” She hid her face. “It’s okay love.” I smiled at her widely. “Daddy, since you have met me. I know it will be hard for you, but could you please help me leave this place?” She asked shyly. “How do I do that?” I asked. “Live your lives to the fullest. I’m not saying move on. I’m just saying don’t dwell on my lost because you and mommy have more things to look forwards to. Please try and do what I ask?” She asked and I nodded. That’s when things went black again.

Paige’s POV

I can’t find Niall anywhere and I’ve been looking for the longest time. I’ve been looking everywhere for him, but no such luck. I still haven’t found him. I called out his name like a hundred of times, but all I heard was complete silence and I was getting frustrated with what was happening. It’s beginning to scare me how I can’t see anything because of how dark it was and how I’m really confused and couldn’t comprehend of what was happening to me and where the hell was Niall. I sat down and brought my knees to my chest and cried. I broke down and didn’t care because no one was around me and to be honest I couldn’t keep it all in any longer. Where was Niall? Where was I? What’s happening to me? I want Niall back. My crying stopped when a warm hand rested on my knees. I didn’t freak out like how I usually would because something about his or her touch was so familiar. I looked up to see this beautiful little girl with tears coming down her face and when I saw her it surprised me how she looks exactly like me but with blue eyes like Niall.

“Oh sweetie, are you lost as well?” I asked. “No, I’m right where I’m supposed to be.” She said shyly. “What do you mean sweetheart? Why are you supposed to be here?” I asked. “My name is Penelope Nicole. I’m your daughter that died a couple of weeks ago.” She explained. “It’s not possible. She’s dead. It’s just not possible!” I snapped and she cried even more. I regret yelling at her, but if she is joking with me it’s a sick joke. “I am your daughter. I’m not lying! You got into an accident with dad and that is why you are here. I met dad earlier and he explained to me everything that is to know about the both of you and how much you love me and I just wanted to say that I love you both as well. He’s wonderful and loving. He’s okay now.” She explained. I couldn’t say anything so I did the only thing I could do, which is to hug her tightly and something about the feeling of her being in my arms tell me that she’s telling the truth. The feeling of having her in my arms made me feel that she was meant to be there at this exact moment. She wasn’t lying. She is my daughter.

“I can’t believe I have found my daughter. I wanted to have you in my arms for so long Penelope!” I cried hugging her. “Mom, I’m glad to see you too and it has been a long while since I wanted to be in your arms as well, but I have something to tell you.” She said sadly. “What is it, love? You can tell me anything.” I asked. “I’ve been stuck here because you and dad haven’t accepted my loss.” She explained. I looked at her and I already thought of what was next that she was going to ask of me. “I can’t forget you if that’s what you’re asking me to do.” I said harshly. “I’m not asking you to forget me. I’m asking you to stop dwelling and live your life. You have an amazing husband to be and you should live your lives together happily. Live your lives the fullest with happy memories. Just remember today how we met and how the happy feeling that we could finally see and touch each other. Don’t remember how we only had a couple of minutes to be together. Remember that it did happen and that you and dad have met me. Your acceptance will be the way for me to live in a better place. I will never forget you mommy. I will always be watching the two of you and whenever things don’t go your way just look up and think that I’m there watching and loving the two of you.” She said tearing a bit. “I can’t leave you.” I said crying. “Mommy, you have to go now. Daddy needs you back.” She said crying. “I can’t.” I whispered shaking my head. “Please mommy. Daddy needs you.” She said again. I stared at her face and I knew she was right. As much as I wanted to stay here with Penelope, Niall needed me. “I love you sweetheart.” I said kissing her forehead and hugging her. “I will always love you mommy.” She said walking away from me. Things turned black once again.
