CHAPTER:1THE BEGINNING OF ACTIVITY .
In 2006, Katie and her husband, Micah , aousere a young couple who recently moved into a two-story tract h in suburbans San Diego. Katie claims that an "Evil" presence has haunted her since childhood and believes that it has followed her to their new home. Each night, Micah mounts a video camera on a tripod in their bedroom to record any paranormalactivity that might occur while they sleep, in the hopes of solving the problem himself. The first night, the only thing they catch are footstep noises. Katie hires a psychic, Dr. Fredrichs (Mark Fredrichs), who assesses that she is being haunted not by a ghost, but by a demon. He says the demon feeds off negative energy, and its intent is to haunt and torment Katie no matter where she goes. He advises them not to taunt or communicate with the demon, and to contact demonologist Dr. Johann Averies for help. Though Katie seems interested and engaged in the situation, Micah does not take it seriously.

CHAPTER 2 :THE STORY OF ACTIVITY.
In 2005, Katie delivers a box of old videotapes to her pregnant sister, Kristi, and Kristi's husband, Daniel. A year later, Kristi and Daniel's house is seemingly burgled and the tapes are missing.
In 1988, a young Katie and Kristi live with their mother, Julie, and her boyfriend, Dennis; Kristi begins interacting with an invisible friend named Toby. Dennis notices that since Kristi's friend appeared, strange things have been happening in the house. Dennis and Julie try to make a sex tape, but are interrupted by an earthquake. While they look for the girls, the camera shows dust fall from the ceiling and land onto an invisible figure in the room. The figure then moves and the dust falls to the floor.
While reviewing the footage later, Dennis notices the strange incident. He invites his friend Randy over to view the footage, who suggests that Dennis place cameras throughout the house to capture any other incidents. That night in the girls' bedroom, Kristi wakes up and begins talking to someone off-camera before going back to bed. When Dennis questions her about this the following day, Kristi tells him that it is Toby. After more disturbed nights and strange occurrences, Dennis discovers a strange symbol in the girls' closet. He finds the same symbol on a picture of women in a book about demonology. Dennis explains to Julie that the symbol belonged to a witches' coven that brainwashed girls of child-bearing age into having sons and then forgetting about it, but Julie dismisses his claim.
After Kristi falls ill, Julie and Dennis take her to the hospital. Katie is left with Randy, and she asks him to play Bloody Mary with her. They go into the girls' bathroom and say "bloody Mary" three times and turn off the light. When nothing happens Katie insists they try again. Randy is stricken with pain and the lights reveal a large scratch up the side of his body. They try to leave the bathroom but a black figure moves past the door. When Randy tries to leave a second time, furniture is violently thrown around. After Julie and Dennis return, Randy leaves in a rush.
The invisible demon terrorizes Katie and Kristi, harming Katie and later dragging her into a closet in the girls' bedroom until Kristi agrees to do what it asks. The next day Kristi asks her mother to take them to her grandmother Lois' home but she refuses. After Julie encounters terrifying activity in the kitchen she agrees to go to Lois' home. Dennis sets up another camera in the new bedroom. Before bed, Kristi dresses up as a bride, and when asked who the groom is, replies "Toby", upsetting Julie, who never wants to hear that name again. At 1 am, they are awoken by the sound of a car pulling up outside. Julie says the noise is Lois, who has trouble sleeping. After hearing more disturbances, Julie goes to investigate. When she fails to return, Dennis goes to look for her. In the background the camera captures a shadowy female figure. Dennis returns and picks up the camera.He calls out for Julie and the girls but there is no answer. Downstairs, Dennis notices a human silhouette behind a curtain. When he pulls back the curtain nothing is present, but the room he enters has strange imagery on the walls, including the symbol from the girls' room, which had been concealed beneath framed paintings. Noticing that the back door is open, Dennis goes outside to investigate. In the garage he discovers Lois and several other women, all dressed in black. Dennis flees back to the house, with the women in slow pursuit. In the house he finds Julie at the top of the stairs. As he approaches, he sees that she is levitating unconscious above the floor. Her body is thrown at Dennis, knocking him down the stairs. He picks himself up and sees Kristi, then retreats with her into a closet. Something growls and bangs on the door but eventually leaves.
Dennis and Kristi leave the closet. As they walk through the kitchen, Dennis sees women outside in the garden, circling around a bonfire. As they move into the next room they find Katie crying by Julie's body. He approaches Katie from behind slowly, and places his hand on her shoulder. Katie turns and unleashes an demonic scream that throws him to the other side of the room, injuring his leg. Katie runs away. Dennis tries to crawl toward Julie's body but Lois walks in front of him. As Lois looks down onto him, Dennis' body is suddenly and violently contorted, snapping backwards and killing him. Kristi reappears and goes to Lois, who beckons to Katie. As they head upstairs, Kristi calls to Toby. There is the sound of movement and a monstrous growl as the footage stops recording.
CHAPTER3:THE BELIEVE.
Micah could not believe katie.He called up the ghost hunters.They were knowed has the "The ghost killers".They requested to send the photo's of the house .Micah next day had send the photo's to California.The next day the person from the squad informed to micah that please for the safety of lives u should have camera in ur house and u have send the tapes of the camera to us everyday .
CHAPTER 4:THE ACTIVITY AT KRISTI HOUSE.
Micah had went to katie's sisters house were they told about the activity happening .In 2006, a "burglary" occurs at the home of Kristi (Sprague Grayden) and Dan Rey (Brian Boland). Every room is completely trashed except for their infant son Hunter's bedroom. The only thing stolen is a necklace that Kristi's sister, Katie (Katie Featherston), had given her. Dan installs security cameras throughout the house to watch over Hunter. Martine (Vivis Cortez), the family housekeeper and nanny, attempts to cleanse the house of "evil spirits," and Dan fires her after catching her burning sage. Katie and Kristi talk about being tormented by a demonwhen they were children. Dan's daughter, Ali (Molly Ephraim), begins investigating the mysterious happenings after she is lured outside by loud banging and the door shuts and locks behind her apparently by itself. She discovers that on occasion, a human can make a deal with a demon for wealth or power by forfeiting the life of their first-born son. She also realizes that until Hunter, there had not been a male child born in Kristi and Katie's family since the time of their great-great grandmother.
The violence continues to escalate and Kristi is tormented further; the family's loyal German Shepherd Dog, Abby, is attacked violently off-camera and apparently suffers a seizure. Dan and Ali take the dog to the vet, leaving Kristi alone with Hunter. She goes to check on the baby and is violently assaulted by an unseen force and dragged into the basement, where she stays for several hours. Finally, the basement door opens and Kristi walks through the living room.
The following day, Ali is home with Kristi, who will not get out of bed. Ali looks at the inside of the basement door and finds it covered in scratches. She also sees a word, Meus (means "mine"), scratched into the door. After hearing noises, Ali finds Kristi upstairs with Hunter, and Kristi aggressively tells Ali not to touch Hunter. When Dan arrives, Ali, who has watched the security tapes from the night before, begs him to view the footage of Kristi's attack. After watching the tape, he immediately calls Martine, who prepares a cross that will exorcise the demon; Kristi will have no memory of having been possessed. Dan tells Ali that he is going to pass the demon onto Katie so that Kristi and Hunter will be saved. Although Ali begs him not to because it is unfair to Katie, Dan sees no other way to save his wife and son.
That night, when Dan tries to use the cross on Kristi, she violently attacks him, and all the lights in the house go out. They turn the hand-held camera's night vision on, and find that Kristi has disappeared along with Hunter. Furniture all over the house begins toppling over, and the chandeliers shake. Dan chases Kristi into the basement and she attacks him. He touches her with the cross, causing her to collapse to the floor. The ground rumbles and inhuman growls and roars are heard, until finally the shaking stops. Dan puts Kristi to bed and burns a photo of a young Katie (the same photo Micah later finds in the attic of his and Katie's house, as depicted in the first film).
Three weeks later, Katie visits and explains how strange things have now begun happening at her house. She returns home, where she finds that Micah has purchased a new video camera ..
