How did we end up here? I was currently in a Zumba class and had my shirt drenched in sweat. Not only that but why were these women moving so damn fast? I had my tongue rolled out begging for a sip of water, my hair was stuck to my face from my sweat that was pouring out faster than Niagara falls.
The women in the room all who seem to have mommy's tummy were moving their hips with amazing rhythm moving faster with the speed of the music. The room was hot and there were puddles of sweat everywhere! So why was I, a nineteen-year-old teen dying from this? Well, you can blame my best friend Melissa who dragged me in here?
Melissa was craving for a workout and we just happen to pass by this place who was only charging two dollars per person and God knows Melissa couldn't pass an offer like this. I turn to see my wild friend dancing to the fast music. Her steps matching all of the instructors. A large smile was on her face.
I watched as the thick drops of sweat rolled down her red face. This place was cramped up, no wonder it was only two dollars a dance.

"Hey, Nancy! Let's do something fun!" Melissa was looking down at me with her wide brown eyes. Her long brown hair that created a curtain around me. Her arms were placed on both of my sides to support her weight. I looked back up at her, blowing a puff of air in her face.
"Go to sleep Melissa. It's five in the morning." I mumble before tossing over in my bed. I hear Melissa let out a loud sigh before throwing her body onto mine. I let out a yelp as I felt all the air inside me being pushed out.
"Nance, don't you ever get tired of this place!" she says while I try pushing her off. Melissa wasn't a big person, actually, she had been confused many times for being a child. "This place is home," I say with a yawn. Melissa looked at me with hurt eyes.
"But I wanna see the world! Don't you?" Why did she always want to have these conversations at these freakishly early hours? I rubbed my eyes, trying to get a better view of Melissa who was patiently waiting for me to answer.
"yes, Mels. I would love to see the world but could we do it at twelve or something. In the afternoon! When the moon is not out." I mumble to her before sliding back into the warmth of my blanket. Melissa's eyes lit up at my words making her jump onto me again. I let out another large puff of air from my mouth.
"I knew you would say yes," she says softly while cuddling into my arms and falling asleep. That was the night before we ran away. I should really watch what I say to her.

"That placed reeked," I say tossing my bag over my shoulders and an old worn out hat on my head. Melissa just shrugged as she walked out the door. A large smile was still on her face as she walked out into the street.
She tossed her arms out into the air taking in a large whip of air. "Put your arms down. You smell worse than a fish." I say with a laugh making Melissa turn to me and shove me under her arm. I could hear her laughter as I struggled to free myself from her hold.
"How does it smell now?" she yelled while letting me go. I gasp for large breaths of air. Dramatically grasping at my chest. "Like death!" I hollower making Melissa laugh even more. I felt my own laugh come out as we made our way down the street.
"Mel, we running low on money again." I softly say making her stop in mid walk. Like always her brown eyes looked at me with a childlike expression. Her short brown hair was pushed back from her face with a hair band. She had cut it herself just a week after we left, claiming that she wanted to start fresh. Even though we both knew it was to avoid from her being called a child.
"How much?" she asked. I look at the thin stash that was in my hand, it was all we had. It wasn't much but enough to pass us by. Small jobs here and there has been keeping us at bay but still not enough.
"Just a little over a hundred," I say adjusting that bag over my shoulder. Melissa nodded before snapping her fingers. I knew she had an idea, please be better than her taco idea. "let's get a job and stay here for a while." she says with a large smile.
"we have no other choice, Melissa," I say with a sigh. I watch Melissa's fist pumped the air before walking off. How did I always get dragged into her crazy ideas? It's been a month since we ran away from home looking for an advantage.
"Nance! Let's get some food! I hear Melissa yell making me scrunch up my nose. I look down at the wet shirt and shorts. I felt like a wet dog and the sun heat was not drying me at all. I shook my head at her, "Let's go get clean first." she let out a puff of air before pouting.
She wanted food but she also wanted to get clean. "Oh I know let's snap our selfs clean," she says excitedly. "No!" I quickly say making her pout even more. "we can't use magic" I say for the hundredth time since we left the damn house. Melissa looked at me upset, for a twenty-year-old, she sure did know how to act half her age.
"If we use our magic they'll find us and take us back home. Do you want to go back home?" I ask. Melissa quickly shook her head. "Good. You wanted to run away, now face the deeds that go with it." I say while patting her head. Oh I forgot to mention, we are wizards.
