Dark/Broken Leo
It's a short one-shot so yeah
-
Leo and Calypso had made it off the island when everything started going downhill. Calypso had complained a couple times so Leo stopped. Landing Festus in a secretive forest and looked back at Calypso. She looked weak and pale. Her hair as thinning out and turning gray. Her skin was wrinkling. She had a shortage of breath. And then suddenly the love of his life fell to the ground. No pulse. He -surprisingly- didn't cry. He screamed at the gods. Yelling that they could've saved her. They could've lifted her curse. But ultimately it was his fault. He got her off the island. He ruined her life. He had killed the one person who truly loved him back. He sought revenge on the gods. They cast the curse but he had caused her death. Everything always came back to the gods. He buried her body and flew to Camp Half-Blood. Stone cold. Fire and revenge burning in his eyes. Everyone immediately knew something was wrong when he returned. For one he was alive. And second he didn't crack any jokes or hug his friends or anything. He headed straight into bunker nine. He threw things and screamed at the gods. Cursing them for what they did. His words laced with pain and anger. Then He came. Leo wasn't sure who He was entirely and Leo hadn't intended to find out."Leo Valdez, we are here to offer you revenge on the gods for what they did to your beloved," He offered, everyday when Leo woke up and before he went to bed for about maybe a week before Leo caved in.
"How can I be of your use, sir?" Leo asked.
"Burn down Camp Half-Blood," He ordered, "the place that was only just another temporary place where no one loved him. A place where Leo wasn't welcomed home.
Leo strolled into camp, his hands ablaze. He threw balls of fire at anyone who dared get near him. Piper and Jason- his firmer best friends, who acted as if they had forgotten Leo existed- advanced on Leo and for the first time he had won. Their screams and cries made him smirk, happy he got his revenge on them. Next opponent was Percy. Leo knew he didn't have a chance to beat Percy so he sent the world around him on fire. Hurling hot, red flames towards Percy. His opponent quickly doused the flames with the water then pinned Leo against the wall of the big house. Riptide's point at his neck. The color drained from Leo. The anger and pain he felt slowly disappeared. He saw Percy could understand why he did what he did, if he did he did a back job at showing it.
"I-I just want to be loved." Leo whispered, his voice laced with pain and desperation. Campers surrounded him. Yet Leo didn't seem to have noticed or cared.
"I just want to be loved," his voice grew louder. "I just want to be loved!"
Leo kept screaming. "I DESERVE TO BE LOVED." He fought Percy's strong grip till he crumbled to the ground. Falling into a weeping mess.
"I DESERVE TO BE LOVED!" Leo screamed. He was shaking and crying now. "I just want to be loved."
Percy kneeled down beside Leo. Who Scoot(ed) away. He rose to his feet and fled. Running for the woods. A sword in his hand. Tears in his eyes. He didn't care. He just ran.
