•••Lapis' POV•••

BEEP BEEP BEEP
I groaned, rolling around in frustration. I grabbed my phone and turned off my alarm. I put it back up on my bed-side table but almost immediately it started ringing again. I screamed, kicking my feet towards the ceiling in anger.

"Lapis quiet down!"

I groaned as i kicked myself up. I slid a sliding door open that separated mine and my sister's room.

Merli sat across her bed, cross-legged in midair, texting on her purple mobile phone. She smiled gently as she scrolled and typed constantly.

"You're so cute," she mumbled.

I raised an eyebrow and stepped back a little, inside my part of the bedroom. It took Merli a while to notice but she eventually met my gaze but her happiness drained out of her face once she saw me.

"What are you doing inside my room? I thought i put a lock on my door," she asked, looking annoyed as a big sister should be towards her little sister.

I gave her a plastic smile and turned around as i rolled my eyes. I closed the door behind me and started going through my closet for clothes to wear.
I just picked a simple purple lace crop-top with black denim shorts, matching my leather knee-high boots with blue-translucent trimming.
I looked myself over in front of my vertical mirror and smiled in satisfactory.

I headed downstairs and went to go grab some breakfast, but there wasn't any. Mum wasn't home either.

"Merli! Where's Mum," i asked up to the ceiling.

Merli shortly walked downstairs with her usual flirty crystal crop-top and short-short shorts. She had her purple hair down with blue-dyed tips and it danced gently behind her as the breeze brushed against her body; perfect timing, isn't it?

I still gasped at the sight of her. She was beautiful, despite her light-dark skin and was a unique beauty in the world of Vocaloids. Well, Vocaloid trainees. She's in the verge of becoming a graduate but still needs to practice on consideration and cooperation. She always preferred to sing solo since she can't handle the lack of spotlight shone on her.

"What are you looking at? You look better than me whether you try or not," she scoffed annoyedly, grabbing an apple and about to leave the house.

She stopped just behind the door and turned around to look at me.

"You coming? Feel like driving you today," she said cooly, biting the apple.

I nodded and grabbed myself a hand full of berries and an apple before following my sister to her car.

It was roofless and silver with a lot of miniature butterflies on it. The glass was purple-stained but still clear enough to see through.

"Come on. This is a rare opportunity y'know," she urged, hopping inside, not bothering to open a door for me.

I jumped inside, not bothering to open the door myself and it didn't really bother Merli so we didn't end up fighting.
