Air - Curling like smoke

I'm running through a forest, trees become a blur around me. I turn to see why I'm running and I see nothing behind me except trees. I can sense something or someone is there chasing me. Before I can face ahead of me again I'm tripping and falling. I tripped on a tree root that was reaching out of the ground twisting through the air trying to grab my ankle. The next thing I know I'm rolling and tumbling down a slope that seemed to have just appeared. My hands and feet are trying to find something to grab onto to slow my fall but all I do is tear away loose vines.

I land in a small river that leads into a valley, the water is still eerily still. I scramble back and as I do blood leaks into the water. It looks like smoke curling and fading to a pink before vanishing completely into the crystal clear water. It's running out of scratches that cover my body, I lift my left hand to see my scars are open again. They shouldn't be , I wipe away the blood and only have a moment to stare at the wound clearly before a pool of blood forms in my palm.

A splash in the water next to me pulls my attention away from my hand letting it fall back into the water.
Another splash this time louder and closer. Then the area falls silent. Whatever was there didn't want to be heard, but now that it knew it was it gave up with being careful. Slowly I push myself up, my soaking wet clothes weighing me down. Noise erupted from the quiet and I got pushed down once more. I was being attack by the water it self it seemed. As I sank back into the water the ground never touched my back I just keep sinking.

I sat up gasping for air and felt beads of sweat fall down the side of my face. Either sweat or tears, possibly both. I take in my surroundings and sigh a breath of relief when I realise I'm at home in my bed. I feel my self away from my sheets and tiptoe over to my sink.

I turn on the taps then fill my shaking hands with water and splash it on my face. The cold wakes me up and leaves me shaking even more. I stare down into the sink with m hands tightly gripping the edge watching the water rush down the drain. Pink. The waters turning pink. I step back confused and see that my left hand is bleeding.

All of the scratches I had in my dream were gone all except my hand.

I clumsily grab a bandage from my draw and wrap my hand tightly, still shaking. My phone tells me that it's 2am and I still have four hours before I need to wake up for school. The thought of going back to sleep fills me with dread because of the possibility of another dream. I rest my head against the wall and groan. It's going to be a long night.
