Lizzie and Jake have decided that he isn't going to make his family in the making move away. Reba and Kenzie are doing well and Narvel is busy with work as usual.
Kenzie woke up and walked into Rebas room
"Hi cutie pie" Reba smiled
"Hi mommy." She yawned
Reba picked her up and placed her on top of her
She smile and snuggled into her
Reba rubbed her back, she was ready to have another one but knew Narvel wasn't because he's so busy with work so she was happy with just Kenzie
"Hi mommy." She said again
"Hi cutie" she smiled. She got up and carried kenz downstairs for breakfast.
"Where's daddy?" She asked
"He's at work baby" I said, I was staying strong for my baby.
"He's always at work." She said sadly
"I know baby.... But I'm always here" she said trying to make her feel better.
"Yeah." She nodded and snuggled into her
Reba rubbed her back and sighed. Narvel was only home when Kenzie was either napping or was already in bed or wasn't up yet.
"I haven't seen him all week." She whimpered
"I know beautiful" she said holding her close
He would always give a kiss before he would leave got when he comes home but she was asleep
Reba fed her and then she went down for her morning nap. Reba tried calling Narvel 5 times and every time she got sent to voicemail.
He was in a huge meeting that was going change everything for them
She sighed and went to go see her baby sleep. She picked her up out of her bed and pulled her close she sat down in the rocking chair and rocked her and watched sleep.
Kenzie was sound asleep on Rebas chest
She smiled and kissed her cheek when there was a knock on the door. Reba put kenz back carefully and went to the door and Lizzie and Jake were at the door. "Hey guys" she smiled
"Hey reebs." Lizzie smiled
"What's up? How's the little guy?" She smiled
"We just wanted to stop and say hi." She smiled and Reba led them into that family room
"Jake, Narvel isn't here so it going to have to hang out with us girls" Reba said
"I've got my little man." He smiled rubbing her belly
Reba smiled and saw how happy they were and suddenly her smile fell and she looked down. "When's he coming out?" She asked
"Any day now." Lizzie said
"That's good" she smiled
"Mommy." Kenzie woke up whimpering with her sippy cop
"Come here baby" she got up and picked her up. "Want mommy to fill it with some juice?" She said
She nodded and gave it to her
Reba carried her into the kitchen and filled her juice and then came back to the family room
"Daddy?" She asked looking for him
"He's not here baby" she said
"Daddy." She whimpered got him
Reba looked at Lizzie and sighed. "This is how it's been for the last week" she said
She snuggled into Reba and hid her face
Reba rubbed her back and kissed Her head. She tried calling Narvel again and it went straight to voicemail again. She sighed and held kenz tight.
"Daddy no love me." Kenzie whimpered
"Oh honey! I know he loves you more than absolutely anything." She said
"Me no see him." She cried
Reba kissed her cheek and looked at Lizzie and Jake. Lizzie was emotional because her hormones were all over the place.
"Mommy no see daddy." She whimpered
"I know pumpkin" Reba said trying to keep her calm.
A few hours passed and Reba was passed out with Kenz on her also asleep. Lizzie and Jake had left.
Narvel came home from work
Reba heard the door open and she just kept her eyes closed.
He walked into the living room and saw his girls sleeping together
I was rubbing Kenzie's back soothingly with my eyes closed.
Narvel walked over to us and kissed my lips
I pushed him away
"Baby." He said
"Don't." I said
"Daddy?" Kenzie mumbled
Reba sighed and let her wake up. "Pumpkin, daddys home" Reba said
"Mommy and daddy home?!" She smiled
Reba handed kenz over and got up and left the room.
"Daddy!" She smiled big
He smiled and kissed her cheek
"Issed you." She said
"I missed you too baby" he said
She giggled and smiled
Reba sighed
"Mommy?" Kenzie asked
"Yes?" She said
"Here." She said
She sighed and went into the room, she didn't look at Narvel.
Kenzie giggled and reached for the ground
He put her down and Reba handed her her juice
She took her juice and walked over to her toy bin. She climbed into it and all you could see where her chunk legs in the air
Reba looked at Narvel. "Where the hell have you been." She said sternly watching her baby to make sure she didn't fall in.
"Honey I have been at work." He said doing the same as her
"I called you 7 times and every time you sent me to voicemail." She said
"Baby I was in a very important meeting." He said
"Yeah with another woman showing her your love." She said
He looked at hurt and shocked. "Is that what you think I was doing?" He said
"Yes! You always answer you damn phone Narvel. Now when your daughter is looking for you but I think your off hitting on some other chick instead of me." She said
"Baby I would never ever do that. I am madly in love with you and I wouldn't do anything to raise my marriage with the love of my life. I was in a big bored meeting today and that's why I couldn't answer." He said
"What if our daughter was choking and I needed you Narvel. Sometimes I need you more than work" she said
"I know baby. I'm going to be home so much more now." He said
"No." She said
"Yes." He said
"I don't believe you." She said
"Mommy! Daddy!" Kenzie said
Reba walked passed Narvel and squatted down to her level. "Yes cutie?" She said
"Up up." She said
She picked her up
She handed her the movie she picked out
"Okay baby" Reba said. This was going to give them family time but also time for Reba and Narvel to talk
She sat Kenzie on the couch abs put the movie in
She gave her a passy and then talked to Narvel in the kitchen. "I can't parent on my own." She said
"You don't have have too." He said
"I want another baby Narvel." She said
"Really?" He smiled
"Yes. But I can't do it alone." She said
"You won't have to baby." He pecked her lips
"I've been trying behind your back" she said
"Baby:" he said
"What?" She said
"I want another baby." He smiled
She looked up at him. "You do?" She said
"I really do." He smiled
"It's just... Your so busy" she said
"Baby I can work from home now." He smiled
She looked at Kenzie to make sure she wasn't looking and that when Reba kissed him deeply
He pulled her close and kissed her back
Rebas phone rang. "Hello?" She answered. "Hey... Sorry to bug you but my water just broke and Jake is out to eat for a business dinner" Lizzie said over the phones
"Oh my gosh! I'm on my way!" Reba said
"No, no... I'm good. I just wanted to give you a heads up." She said
"But you said Jacob was at dinner." She said
"He is" she said
"You need me to call him?" She asked
"I already did... He didn't pick up. I'm just going to drive myself over to the hospital" she said
"No no no no." I'm on my way. Don't move." She said
"Reba... I'm okay, really. I can get there myself." She said
"Sweetie your in labor." She said
"Yes and I can drive. I can do it." She said
"I'll meet you there." She said
"Okay" she said waddling out and she forgot. "Reba.... I'm going to have to take you up on that offer... I wasn't even thinking, he took the car." She said
"Okay I'll be right there!" She smiled
She hung up and grabbed her bag and the baby bag and walked outside to wait.
"Baby? Mamas has to go help aunt Lizzie." She told Kenzie
She nodded and continued to watch the movie
"I love you." Reba gave her a kiss
She kissed her back and Reba left to go help Lizzie
Narvel and Kenzie go some much needed time together
Reba helped Lizzie into the car. "I feel bad leaving the house a mess" she sighed
"Want me to clean it up?" She asked
"No, no I want to get to the hospital." She said
She nodded abs they drive to the hospital
Lizzie worked through her contractions on the way there.
"I'm proud of you." Reba said
"Don't be... Really. I haven't even done anything and I'm only having a baby, people have babies every day" she said
"I know but your handling it really well." She said
"Thank you, I'm a labor and delivery nurse so I'm used to it, I know all the techniques" she said
"I know." She said
She got another one and breathed through grabbing on to the handle on the ceiling
Reba held her hand abs let her squeeze it
"I'm okay.... Just drive" she gave Reba a weak smile
She nodded and drove
Lizzie was taking deep breaths and just releasing through the mouth.
The parked at the hospital and Reba helped her out
"Thank you" Lizzie said
"Your welcome." She said
"Thanks for driving me, we will call when he gets here" she smiled hugging Reba and then grabbing her bags
"I'm coming with you." She said
"Reba. It's okay. Really, Kenzie and Narvel need you at home. Jake will be here soon" she said
"But you need me too." She said
She looked at Reba and smiled. "Thank you but I have my whole team that I work with here. It's okay" she said
"Keep me posted. Want me to stay until Jake gets here?" She asked
"It's okay, thank you though. I will definitely keep you posted. I have a long way ahead of me" she said
Jake pulled into the spot next to them and smiled
"It's about time." Lizzie snapped
"I got here as soon as I could." He said
"Mhmm." She said
He kissed her
She didn't kiss him back and threw her bags at him.
"Sweetie. I just got a huge promotion." He said
"My water Broke! I'm having your child and your to busy getting a damn promotion!" She yelled at him.
