The car came to a halt in front of Dara's new school. Students were milling everywhere, mostly in groups. The familiar anxiety was building up in her insides again, but she chose to blink and swallow the bile rising from her stomach.
"You sure you'll be okay, Nabi?" She heard her father call her fondly, even using her long-forgotten nickname as a child. These days, only her dad calls her that, and she knows he only uses it whenever she seems to be under duress.
She forced a smile on her face. "Yes, appa. I'll be fine."
Her father slowly nodded with a gentle smile on his face. "Okay, then. Call me if anything happens." He reminded.
It was her turn to nod appreciatively at her father's concern. Of course, her parents know how hard this particular move was for her. They were originally from Busan, but she was six years old when they moved to Seoul, which allowed her to get accustomed to the dialect. However, they never really settled in one place. Since she was six, they've moved everywhere because of her dad's job. She's an only child and her father reasoned out that they shouldn't be apart from each other, what with being a small family and all.
Dara does fully understand her parents' logic, and she's already accustomed to moving, but their family had settled quite long in their last place and she already had a life there. She had friends, and acquaintances. More than anything, she just finds it difficult to uproot her life from a safe, comfortable zone and start all over again from the scratch.
She internally sighed to herself before planting a kiss on her father's cheek. She got out of the car and waved to her father through the window. "See you later, appa!" She said in fake cheer, just so she won't worry her dad anymore.
Mr. Park nodded. "Yeah, see you later. Take care!" Dara was about to turn her back from the car but her father held her up. "Oh by the way, my co-worker's son also studies in this school! I forgot to mention it to you earlier. You're in the same grade, and his name's GD, I think?" Her father got lost in thought for a moment before shrugging it off. "Anyway, find him if you have time. My colleague told me that he already mentioned you to him, so just introduce yourself if ever you meet him. Bye, Dara!" He last said before driving off.
The teenager had a small crease on her eyebrows as she surveyed the place, her father's words repeating in her mind. GD? Sounds like a GDouche to me, she chortled to herself at her own humor before reprimanding herself to stay sane. In the end, she opted to sigh before walking towards the school entrance. Into the battlefield! She shouted with determination in her head.

Dara's a hundred percent sure that she just walked into a monkey den. It was so loud and everyone's flailing around. She was definitely not used to it. Sure, she attended another school in the past but the chaos in there was relatively tamed compared to the one she's facing now. Maybe she can chalk it up to the vast difference in locations. Although their last town was also in Seoul, it was located in the quieter parts of the city, which could be the reason why her last school was not too rowdy. Another reason could be that it was a small school as compared to this current school.
She was too busy watching the tiles disappear with her each step on the floor that she didn't even have the time to breathe when she heard a "Hey watch out!" being shouted on her way. Before she knew it, there was a sharp thud on her side before slamming on the lockers, hearing the loud ripping of her pants, possibly even wounding her leg.
She froze in her place, especially when she felt everyone's eyes on her. She slowly looked down at her ripped (like, really ripped, and not stylishly) jeans and the blood stain before eyeing the rugby ball on the ground and the locker with a bunch of iron nails stuck into it.
