Aiden's pov
"Aiden please tell me how you are going to get this rock from my hand without the help of your teammates?"
"I don't know but I'll figure it out soon enough."
I just need to speed up. Lynx maybe faster at running, but I have learned flash step so I'm the only one who can do this.
I reached for his hand and he simply moved it out of the way.
"You forget Aiden I'm a Paladin ranked Mage so can move faster than you. Plus lighting is my magic ability which gives me the speed bonus."
"That's it I just need him to send an electrical shock through my body to make me move faster, which means I'll have to stop moving my feet when flash stepping," I thought to myself.
I quickly stopped moving and focused on where I wanted to go and started moving there without moving my feet. It was hard but I could feel the static building up.
Lynx's pov
"That's it I'm done doing push-ups they're stupid."
"What do you mean," Sorine asked.
"I mean why aren't we helping him. Is not that I want to help, but that I want to get to using my magic. Sorine is there anyway you can move as fast as Aiden?"
"No I would have to use magic."
"Damn!"
"But I can feel the static building up and it's all around Aiden," she said when she looked up at me.
"Ok so what do we do about that?"
"If I could just touch him on the shoulder maybe he would be able to move faster."
I looked at Sorine and then back up at Aiden and Raidon. They were moving so fast it's almost like they aren't moving.
"Sorien listen to me you need to send an electrical Shock through water towards Aiden."
"But how we don't have water and it's the middle of summer it's not going to rain."
She was right how were we going to get some water now?
At that moment nixie put her hand in the ground a pulled water out of the soil. When she did she sprayed it over towards Aiden and Raidon. With that Sorine snapped and lighting came out of her fingers and into the water.
Aiden's pov
"Tired so tired," I said to myself as my vision started to blur.
All of a sudden I felt an electrical shock go through my body and I looked over to see Sorine sending electrical shocks through the air. I smiled and started to go faster. I reached for the Rock and grabbed it. With that I stopped moving instantly.
"Are you ever going to-? Never mind."
I looked at him and smiled. The last thing I saw was the ground.
I woke up in my bed and when I looked around it was dark.
"Good you're awake," I heard a female say to my left. When I looked at her she had a knife in her hand. It took me three seconds to realize what she was doing before it happened.
Her hand shot down towards my body and I grabbed her wrist with my left hand and her hand with my right hand. I looked over at the other beds they were empty.
Her hand started to move down towards my rib cage.
"Stop resisting and just die already!"
"I'm sorry, but it isn't going to happen," I said in pain as my arms started to hurt.
The only way I'm going to win is if I use magic, but I could burn the house down. Well it's my life or the house.
My hands started to heat up and her expression started to change.
"Stop it! Let go of me! Please! I'm sorry let go!" She screamed as my hands started to melt through her skin to her bone.
I waited till I got to her bones so she couldn't move her hands any more. I then lit her arms up. Her arms started burning, and then I stopped.
"Now tell me who are you," I said as I let go and she fell to her knees in pain.
"I don't have a name none of us have names."
"What do you mean none of you don't have names?"
"There are 10 of us. Ever since we were children we had been training to kill quietly. In terms of ranking in the weakest number 8."
"What about 9 and 10?"
"They are MIA."
"Now who sent you and how do I know when I've found another one like you?"
"We have tattoos on our necks that change numbers depending on our rank, and as for who sent me I don't know. He never shows his face and we all address him as sir."
"Thank you I'll have to tell Raidon about this."
Her eyes widen, "No please don't if he finds out we will be wiped out."
"Well you did try to kill me."
"I'm sorry I won't do it again I'll just disappear like 9 and 10."
"And what do I get from it?"
"I'll get someone to write a letter for me and have it mailed here, so you can know my location and if you ever need info or anything really I'll supply it."
I thought about for a while, "All right now leave."
She nodded and jumped out the open window.
I have a feeling this isn't the last time I'll see someone like her.
Either way I have to tell Raidon, I just won't tell him everything.
The next day
"Raidon I have something to tell you before we start."
"Oh what is wrong Aiden?"
"I was attacked last night. She said something about there are 10 of them and she was number 8. 9 and 10 are dead and so is she. She also said something about her boss never actually being seen and they don't know his name."
"And how do you know all of this Aiden?"
"Fire is a powerful magic type."
"I understand I must leave quickly. Training is not happening today. Everyone go inside to the table.
Raidon's pov
"Now I have to leave for the magical counsel, so I can ask for instructions on how to deal with this. I leave Lynx in charge and if he is to fail Aiden is next. You guys are a team now, it's your job to keep up on training. I expect you guys to stay safe ok."
I turned to the door grabbed my bag and left, I probably won't return. Even though I am a God I am not immortal.
