The day dragged on, feeling especially tiresome considering none of my friends were in any of my classes.

Well that will change.

But I kept seeing the same blonde puff of hair walk into each of my classes just after the bell rang.

Weird.

My last period was study hall, so I was left alone with my thoughts the whole time. I didn't know why, but Luke would never leave my mind.

It was as if he had me in a trance due to his mysteriousness. He didn't talk — to what I've seen at least. —

And he was fairly attractive. I saw girls swooning over him as he walked past; but he didn't seem to notice. It was if he too was in a trance that he couldn't escape.

The bell soon rang and I was up heading towards Luke before my mind could process what it was doing.

"Luke," I say.

He turns around sharply, and gave his attention to me.

"Could we hang out after school today? Or are you busy?" I ask.

Nod.

"Was that a nod as if 'I'm busy' or a nod as if 'sure, we can hang out.'?"

He held up two fingers.

"Okay, come on then."

I take his hand in mine and lead him to my car. He opens the passenger door and I get into the drivers side.

After we had buckled up, I start driving.

"So do you want to go to your house or mine?" I ask.

His face flashes with concern and he quickly raises his index finger to point to me.

"My house it is."
