Hi everyone,

This is my first story that I've ever shown anyone, so please be constructive in your critique. I'm not new to writing and have actually been writing for close to 20 years. This story is currently untitled but please bear with me, I will name it.... Eventually.

This is just the prologue and I would appreciate it anyone reads this. If you like the prologue please tell me, I'm not sure if I will write anymore of the story, but if no-one is going to read it, I won't publish it.

This story will mainly be one person point of view, but I may show it from another's point of view, just for clarification for the readers.

I hope you all enjoy this.

From Ray.

The young she-wolf looked about her, the forest was covered in the usual winter snows, squirrels in the tree's chattered their alarm to the presence of a predator, the flicking tail of a fleeing doe was seen quickly before the tree's obscured her.

Yet the woods, seemed too quiet, like something bad had happened, but the prey animals were safe, the she-wolf looked about her once again, her silver fur shinning dully in the late winter sun. The she-wolf let out an explosive breathe of warm air, that misted instantly upon hitting the freezing temperatures of the woods around her. The wind shifted blowing her own Vanilla and windy cliff top scent back towards her, she stiffened, before crouching into a defensive position when she noticed that there was another scent upon the wind, faint but drawing closer. The scent was masculine and demanding, with a lavender twist.

A large red furred wolf leaped out of the tree's, he pulled up short spotting her silver fur  easily against the snow around her. He sniffed the air for her scent, before giving a long load howl, to alert others of his position. She stiffened again, fear making her fur stand on end, she was a rogue and unwanted in the forest, she hadn't thought that the pack who own these lands would find her, she didn't think she was all that far into their lands. She thought she was just past the borders, maybe she had been wrong.

Time stretched on, seconds, turning to minutes, and then finally into an hour. The sound of multiple paws hitting the cold ground, she whimpered slightly, and took a step back, only to be halted by a low growl from the red male, she whimpered again, but remained where she was, too fearful to move again.

The sound of the running wolves slowed down to a walk as they came closer, six wolves came out of the  woods, one of them carrying a set of clothes, they were all of a dark grey colour, yet their eye colours were different, apart from two who stood shoulder to shoulder, both of their eyes were of a clear blue, like a summer day. But at that moment they were cold and unforgiving.

The she-wolf lowered her head to the ground afraid of all the male wolves, they spread out around her, while the one with the clothes dropped the pile at the Red male's front paws, he picked the pile up and stepped back behind a tree, a few minutes passed before a large male stepped out clad in a dark grey shirt with faded cut off jeans. He would easily towered above her, he stepped back into the circle.

"Shift!" He commands.

Her fur shivers at the tone of voice he used, but she remains upon the ground, still kept in position by his earlier unspoken command. She whines quietly, her eyes closed, head still pressed against the snow beneath her.

"Go and shift!" He commands again, throwing an oversized faded grey t-shirt at her.

She picks the material up in her teeth gingerly, the males scent was clinging to the shirt, she crawled backwards, out of the circle, stepping behind a tree, she was still new to shifting so it took her longer to shift back than it did for the male.

She pulled the overly large grey shirt over her head, she was thankful for her short stature at that moment as the shirt reached about mid-thigh. She stepped out from behind the tree, her lightly tanned skin, golden in the light of the forest, her silver hair matted, dirty, and faded from her days of travel. She kept her eyes down at the ground.

"Look at me." The male says, his voice softer than earlier.

She looked up more because of his softer tone than anything else. Her dead gold hues looked up into his lively silver hues, her heart skipped a few beats as she looked at him, her wolf howled within her mind. He blinked after a few moments, he took a few deep breaths of fresh air, before swallowing.

"Who are you?" He asks abruptly.

She blinks slowly, then takes a few shallow breaths, as the wind was blowing the males scent towards her, she couldn't think properly, with the male's scent all around her, enveloping her.

"I'm Theia..." She says softly, her words barely above a whisper.

He took a step forward, causing her to step back, she put her hands up to ward the male off. He stopped and looked at her properly, it was then that he noticed the scars running up her legs, down her arms, the fear so prominent in her eyes that it was the only emotion seen at all.

"What the hell happened?" One of the others asked, stepping closer.

She freaked and did a fast shift, the shirt ripping, she stood in the center of the circle of males trembling, her dulled sliver fur standing up in fear, a low whine of fear coming from her. The male raised his hands and stepped back, the other males step back also.

She crouched low to the ground, her belly pressed against the dirt. The male burst into his black Alpha wolf, he shook his fur out, he ordered the other guys to leave, they left quickly, leaving the two alone. She watched them leave warily, whining again, he crouched low and crawled towards the female, his silver hues upon her fear filled golden orbs.

He stopped a few inches from the female, with his nose pointing at her own, he stayed laying against the ground, relaxed. He waited for her to relax. She stayed as she was a little tense, but not running away.

The shadows in the woods started to lengthen while he waited, she had slowly relaxed, and was just about asleep, her eyelids drooping. She gave a small sigh and shifted to her side so that she could stretch her legs, the male huffed slightly, before standing, she started but remained still, her eyes showing wariness. He padded closer before dropping to the ground in front of her, he placed his head next to her paws, she flicked her ears, and swished her tail, but remained where she was. She placed her head upon her paws, the position allowing her to look down into his eye, with her head slightly elevated by her paws. She huffed out a small sigh letting her eyes close. He also huffed, he remained awake, watching over her.
