|Chapter 1| - "Tutoring"
- Elizabeth POV.
Beep! Beep! The horrid sound of the all familiar ringing alarm clock flooded my opened ears and awoke me immediately, announcing the start of a new day that I was terribly dreading. The start of a new school day. I stretched making a loud weird noise and attempted to lift my self out of my very comfortable bed and start the process of getting ready but, my mind and body were having a very heated battle while I laid there lifeless thinking about the vary scenarios of how the school day would go like. I mean, don't get me wrong I enjoy school more than the average teenager should but, huge crowds of popular reigning teenagers scare me. More like terrify me. Because I am defiantly not an "in crowd" person so you know I get bugged a lot. So, I mainly try to keep to myself which is very much impossible in high school because this is the point in your school life where everyone knows everything about everyone.
After sitting there on the edge of my bed for a few moments overthinking everything I decided to get up and approach the day ahead, not like I had much of a choice anyway. I walked over to my drawer and pulled out a casual outfit I could throw on and go. I pulled out a comfy grey sweater that covered my arms, a pair of ripped black leggings, a black choker necklace and my infamous beat up black and white converses. I shrugged and looked myself up and down in the full length mirror my nose scrunched up and I sighed, "I guess I look OK, but I am defiantly getting fat I don't need anything to eat today". I whispered to myself as I tugged on my sweater and bit my lower lip. My eyes cascaded slowly over my body once more and then I made my way to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror of the bathroom and eyed the scar above my eyebrow where things got a little out of hand with my stepfather and my brother Liam had to interfere. I got down remembering the thought but I quickly pushed it to the back of my head and proceeded to apply a light bit of makeup and putting my loose curly brown hair in two space buns at the top of my head. When I fastened the last rubber band on my bun I brushed my teeth, grabbed my phone and book bag and headed downstairs.
"Morning Elizabeth." My mother smiled as I entered the kitchen. "Good morning mother." I weakly smiled back glancing at my phone. "Aren't you going to eat something honey?" She asked sounding concerned. "No I'm fine." I responded scrunching my nose. "Elizabeth, I don't want you falling back into your old habits hon, make sure your sister eats lunch today." Mom said motioning towards my older brother Liam. He silently nodded and smiled at me. I looked down and rolled my eyes. I understand they're concerned for my health but It'd be nice If they didn't treat me like a child. "Liam can I drive today?" I asked looking towards my brother. "Drive? My car? No way Liz!" He said shaking his head. "Please? I'm your little sister and an excellent driver by the way." I persisted batting my eyelashes. He sighed looked at mom, then me and opened his mouth to speak. "Don't wreck my baby please." He cried pleading with his hands. I smiled, "Whatever Liam, thanks." I grinned grabbing his keys of the hook and heading outside. "Bye guys." I yelled closing the front door. Since my brother Liam is a senior and finished most of his high school courses he only has four periods instead of six so he comes later in the day. Which gives me the pleasure of driving his car to school which is a plus for me. His beautiful 1967 Chevy Camaro gracefully passed down to him by our father who died in a car crash when we were kids. When I entered the car I ran my hand over the leather steering wheel and inhaled the familiar scent of my father before finally starting the engine and driving to school. Since our school is only a few blocks from our house the drive was very short and I was there in no time. I could already see the pilling students hanging in the parking lot goofing off and teasing each other. While I found a place to park in the student parking lot my mind wondered where Imogen Green was today, I'm always sure to see her with the captain of the football team William who also happens to be her brother. I was kind of glad to not see her presence though because she always finds a way to bug me and honestly I was just trying to get to class today.
