*Camilla's POV*

I got out of my car as I put my tassel on and fixed my academic dress.

I walked towards the open area where the ceremony is held and searched for a seat. I saw a vacant chair at the front and quickly sat down on it.

"Hey." A familiar voice whispered beside me as I cocked my head to the side.

"Cameron Dallas." I greeted and gave him a smile. I know him since he's very popular here together with his "squad"

"Camilla Jones." He mocked and gave me his heart melting smile. I suddenly turned my attention to the stage as the commencement ceremony starts.

"Would the graduands please stand." The president of the academic board stated as us graduands stood up as said.

---

They admit us our diplomas and the stating of the speeches started.

"May we call on Camilla Avery Jones here up the stage for her validictorian speech." The chancellor announced as the audience cheered.

"Good luck." Cameron said as I stood up.

"Thanks. I need that." I winked and completely walked up the stage.

"Hi everyone. Parents, teachers, staff and my fellow graduands." I trailed off and saw my parents at the back of the crowd.

'Hi!' My mother mouthed as my father's arm was put around her.

"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like, austronauts, president... Or in my case, a PRINCESS." I said with a pause.

The crowd chuckles.

"When we were ten, they asked us again. We answered, a rockstar, NBA player, or in my state, a gold medalist. But now that we're grown up, they want a serious answer. Well, how about this, who the hell knows?" I held my hands up in the air and shrugged as the crowd cheered and applaud.

"Change your mind, and change it again because nothing is permanent. So make as many mistakes as you can. That way, someday, when they ask what
We want to be, we won't have to guess... We'll know." I ended my speech with a bow and the crowd once more cheers out loud.

They put on my medal and I happily exit the stage.

"I am so so proud of you." My father said as they came to me. We hugged as Cameron's friends walked towards me.

"Nice speech." Nash Grier smiled and gave me a bouquet of flowers.

"Thanks. Since did we become close?" I wondered as they all laughed.

"We just want to give you a little something to congratulate you." They replied and they all squished me in a group hug.

"Thanks guys."
