Romance

Chapter one

"Hi Ashley" Ben smirked. "You look even weirder today....Who would have thought that was even possible!" "Shut up" I said kicking his leg and then I stomped away. "She so wants me" Ben said and then he burst out laughing among his friends. I continually stomped down the play ground, too scared to look back in case I saw Ben's  intimidating eyes glare into mine.  I could hear their laughter ringing in my ears. I plonked down beside my friend Clara. She always used to say at 15 I was too young to have problems with boys yet she is the one going around flirting with them. She keeps saying how any day someone would ask her out but we both know that it will never happen. "It is hard to believe that an idiot like Ben has girls flirting with him 24/7 and that apparently he is the coolest and most popular boy in the class" I moaned. "Totally" Clara replied, her eyes locked onto Ben. Finally the bell rang and all the people in the school strolled into their classes. Clara and I grabbed a seat at the back of the classroom. Clara always wants to sit their because Ben always sits at the table beside us.We had Mr. harris for our first lesson Aka the worst teacher in the world. He doesn't even notice if the person sitting in the front row was asleep or drawing. Clara started to flirt with Ben and he was pretending to flirt back and she didn't even notice that Ben's friends were wetting themselves with laughter. The rest of school was boring , we did maths Irish s.e.s.e and music.

Chapter two

After school Ben was teasing me all the way down the street. Clara and I have a tradition that after school we always grab a smoothie at

O' Brian's. Of course Ben and his group started to do it as soon as we did it. idiots. Thankfully they sat in the other side of O'Brian's. Everything was going great until Ben snuck up behind us, sat down on the seat next to me and pretended to gossip in a girly voice. As soon as I turned around to complain to Ben he leaned over and gave me a full on kiss on the lips. I pulled myself away from his grasp and ran away crying. Clara followed me into the bathroom. Ben followed me and when we past the boys table he grabbed my waist. I turned around and with all my might I have him a smack on the side of his face. When we were in the bathroom Clara started to scream her head off at me. "Why didn't you tell me you were dating Ben !!!" she screamed. "I thought you were my friend" she cried slapping me across my face. I opened my mouth to try and argue back but she was already gone. I smashed my hand against the sink and left the bathroom. "Did you have a cat fight?" Ben's jerk friends asked. "Miaw". This time Ben had gone too far. It is true what Clara used to say, Ben always could worm underneath my skin.

Chapter three

The next day in school everyone was staring at me. I knew Clara could not keep secrets but I didn't know she would do this to me. I glanced over at Ben and his friends and Ben's friends were trying to push Ben over to me. I looked around the school grounds and I saw Clara hanging with Ben's group. When she saw me she blew kisses over at my direction. One of the popular girls approached me. "Is it true that you are dating Ben?" she asked. I glared at her and I think she got the message. A load of questions started to spin around in my head... are Ben and I dating? should I go talk to him? I walked over to Ben's group casually ,pulling up my skirt. Everyone looked at me. "Ben we need to talk" I growled. he got the message and followed me over to the grass. "I am sorry about yesterday" he explained. " if you were sorry you would have never kissed me" I said glaring into his eyes just to see if he was telling the truth. He actually was. He snuck his hand into mine ans this time I didn't jerk away. until today I didn't realise that I actually fancied him. "Can we meet up after school" I asked and he just smiled.

Chapter four

Ben and I met up at a cake shop called 'Cakes'. We chatted and drunk coffees. He mentioned to me that Clara is dating Daniel and that it was Clara that told him to kiss me so that she could purposely have an argumentwith me. She was sick of talking to me. After the coffee and cake we wandered around the shopping center. We past the sweet shop. The smell of sweets draws you into the shop. I could hear girls screaming Harry....... Harry.... I pushed my way through the crowd and there standing in front of me was Harry Styles. The band split up a month ago just before he announced that he was moving to California. He tossed his face at started to look in my eyes. It was like a connection.As he turned around he announced that he was going to start school in California Hights that is my school. I ran back over to Ben. And told him everything. He looked in my eyes and made me promise him that if harry comes to our school that he won't interfere between us. Of course I had to say yes. We took the 29 bus back to the school road and then Ben walked me home. He can be quite a gentleman when he wants to be. When I opened the front door my older sister Layla ran up to me. "I hear you and Ben are hitting it on" she teased. "Shut up" I moaned. She then got to the point about Harry Styles joining our school. I knew the subject wouldn't take her long to mention the subject. She kept babbling on about him that I didn't even have time to breathe. At dinner thankfully Layla didn't mention the Ben subject but she did mention Harry Styles.

Chapter five

The night flew by and I was regretting going to school. yesterday I didn't mind people seeing me with Ben cause he is the hottest guy in the school. I was only worrying about Harry.....after the way he looked at me yesterday. I really wish that I didn't quarrel with Clara cause I could really use her support. I got dressed into our lame school uniform and ate a bowl of cornflakes. Today I walked to school cause I promised Ben that I would meet him by the Corner Shop. I was waiting five minutes when he finally turned up. He gave me a kiss and bought me a bar if chocolate. We walked to school hand in hand and when we walked through the school gates we saw harry giving loads of autographs. "I don't know why girls like him" I told Ben. "And it is not like his singing is any good either" he replied. The bell went and we made our way into class. For some reason Harry approached me and asked me if I was the girl he saw in the crowd and that I was the only girl not screaming his name. Ben pulled me over to him..."Remember our deal" he whispered in my ear and I nodded back to indicate that I knew what he meant. Our classes were weird first of all Harry sat on one side of me and Ben on the other. I am suddenly very popular. All the girls have started to come over to me to ask am I going our with Harry? and how come he is always looking and watching me? and to be honest I don't know but I can tell that Ben is really starting to hate Harry.

Chapter six

As I was walking out if the school gates Harry caught my arm. "Ashley...Em.. I was wondering can I copy your notes?""Sure we can meet up in O'Brien's" I replied. A smile came up on Harry's face as we started to walk down the street. When we arrived at O'Brien's we sat down in the corner and I rooted in my bag trying to find my notes as Harry went up to order two smoothies. When he just finished taking down the notes he leaned over to tell me what it was like being a world famous singer. Just at that moment Ben had to walk in. The smile on his face dropped as he saw Harry and I.He must have thought that we were going to kiss. He walked back out and slammed the door." I'm so sorry"Harry mumbled. "It is fine" I snapped back. I grabbed my bag and stood up. When I put my hand on the table to pick up my phone Harry pressed something into my hand. I opened my hand and read the note.....it was his phone number. "haven't you done enough" I snapped ripping up the note and throwing the shreds of paper at him and walking out.

That night and the next day Ben didn't text me or phone me. "it is over!!" I sobbed into my pillow. I then got up and told mum I was going into town for a Saturday shopping spree. I was wearing shorts a black vest top a pair of pink sandals and my shades. I got the bus into town and when I was getting off the bus I bumped into Ben. "Ben" I stuttered but he pretended he didn't hear. what is the use I thought so I walked away.

Chapter seven

Town was packed. where ever you looked you could see people. And of course I had to bump into Harry nd Clara and apparently Clara dumped Daniel for harry. it wouldn't surprise me. I bought a really nice pair of shoes and a nice mini skirt with pastel flowers on them. thankfully I bumped into Ben again and I tried to explain that nothing happened between harry and I. but he was with another girl. I caught a glimpse of harry and I walked over to him. "do you want to go on a date with me?" he asked. So harry and I went to the sweet shop and then to the park.

As the weeks passed I started to forget more and mire about Ben. the only thing that I didn't like was my unpopularity. everyone hated me since I started to go out with harry. But everything went down hill from there. I was diagnosed with cancer and on our last date harry broke the news to me that the band got back together so he was moving back to London. When he told me that we kissed our last kiss and I walked away with tears brewing up in my eyes and I didn't look back.

Now ten years on I met harry in my book signing. he bought my books after I started writing about our dating life. I will never forget the smile on his face when I kissed him at that book signing.
