Chapter 4: Tales Of Destiny

"Demi you go look for Silas, I'll try Elena's room." Damon told me and I rolled my eyes but nodded anyway.

"Damon." I held him back. "Be careful."

Damon nodded and kissed my forehead then walked off and I went in a different direction. Of course Damon would leave me to find Silas. I walked through the centre of the campus garden where I stood by a tree. I was in no rush to go searching for Silas. I looked around at all the faces of different students until my eyes landed on an older man, a professor. He was staring at me with an angry expressed face but I didn't know who he was. My gone began ringing and I looked away from the man and down to my phone. An unknown number appeared so I answered out of curiosity.

"Are you following me?" A voice like Stefan's said down the phone, Silas!

"Where are you?" I asked him.

"Right here." Silas smirked, popping up beside me.

"You're hateful." I sighed, putting my phone down. "Where's Elena?"

"She's safe, I got what I needed from her." Silas smirked cockily.

"Hateful!" I repeated, pronouncing in slowly and Silas laughed then he looked up at the professor who was still staring at us.

"He, knows who you are." Silas told me. "He knows you're the original."

"How?" I questioned

"He's part of a govern, like the council back in Mystic Falls." Silas told me. "He wants to try and kill you."

"So I'll kill him." I shrugged. "Now what do you want, can't you just leave now that you got what you needed?

"I haven't barely gotten what I need Demetria." Silas told me. "But first, I would like you to accompany me to find Katherine"

"Why would I go anywhere with you?" I snapped.

"Because if you stay here there will be people trying to kill you and you'll be safe with me." Silas told me. "I'll also tell you the story about my past."

I knew that I wanted to know everything about his past and where I came into it and besides, there was nothing here for me anyway.

"Ok." I agreed.

"Really?" Silas asked fairly shocked and I nodded. "Let's go then."

I followed Silas to a car that I remembered to be Stefan's and we both got in then he began to drive it. This was Stefan's favourite car and it felt weird being back in it.

"What do you want with Katerina?" I turned to Silas.

"She took my cure, I want it back." Silas replied.

"Why? Why don't you want to be immortal?" I asked him.

"Because it's a lonely life. The purpose of life is to be born, to grow up, fall in love and then die, I didn't know that so many years ago. Being cursed with that spell that kept me locked away, dead for years was the worst feeling of loneliness. I couldn't be with the person I loved. All that time I lost, I could have spent it with you-

"What?!" I exclaimed. "Silas I'm not Qetsiyah, I'm not Amara and I'm definitely not Kyria. What are you talking about?!"

"You look just like her Demetria, like Kyria but you are very different and I think that's why I love you more." Silas told me.

Was I hearing this right. Was Silas actually admitting it was me he loved. I was nothing to him, he never showed any notice towards me but because I'm a doppelgänger he suddenly loves me. He can't just do that.
