Hi. My name is Coco Mahana. I'm 18, and originally from
Hawaii, but I live in Cali. I'm quite small for my age. Being 5'3",
people could probably mistake me for a 13 year old. No, I'm
kidding! Anyways,I have 4 brothers; Micah, whose 26; James,
whose 22; Cameron, my twin; and Seth, whose 16. My mom
and dad are happily married. I'm super shy, and have an
anxiety disorder. I come from a pretty wealthy family, since
parents own Hawaiian Airlines.
You're probably thinking, so if you're Hawaiian, you must be a
surfer, right? Well not exactly. Everyone in my family is a surfer
except for me. I dance. Literally. That's all I do and school, but
thats a different story. I do modern, jazz, tap, hip hop, the silks
and Lyra, a bit of ballroom and ballet, my speciality. Believe it
or not, I started dancing when I was 13.
My past dance teachers would tell my mom I was a prodigy. I
guess I kind of am considering that I started pointe three
months after I had my first ballet class. I also play guitar,
keyboard, and sing.
I competed in the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and was
featured in "First Position: A Ballet Documentary." I won a
scholarship to the one and only Royal Dance Academy in
London, England.
That's where my story begins.
