Vivi's P.O.V.
She's beautiful, and will never stop being. Yes, we've been best friends since the 3rd grade but I knew something bad would come out of it. That bad thing? Yea, my parents believe that all gays should burn in hell. So I'm basically screwed.
*Flashback*
"Hey ginger!" It was him, Andrew. The 3rd grades most popular boy and his gang were coming my way to pull on my hair, yet once again. Its happened numerous times before but I've gotten used to my daily beating.
"Yes?" I mumbled back trying not to show my fear.
"Let me have it!" He said reaching his hands towards my head as his sweaty palms fisted my fiery red hair and tugged.
"It hurts Andrew!" I said with a single tear rolling down my cheek. I frantically tried to pry his hands from my hair but it just would'nt work. After all he was the strongest guy in the grade.
"Yea right!" Andrew said tugging once more as his friends had also grabbed strands that had fallen out of his grip.
"Hey meanie! Stop that and let her go!" Her, it was her. Acacia. She was the exact opposite of Andrew which gave her all the more right to be scared. She was small and lanky while he was tall and strong. Either way I was taller than both of them so yea I could power over Andrew but who would? I mean nobody has ever tried.
Andrew let go of my hair and walked over to Acacia and shoved her with enough force to knock her over into the grass. Her dress flew up making her pink panties visible.
"I see London I see France, I see Acacia's underpants!" They all taunted as I was still on my knees crying into my hands.
I looked up when I heard the legendary song coming from the kids mouths. I knew I had to do something but what was I supposed to do? Being the idiot child I was I thought about it to much and had an anxiety attack. That's right. I ran and ran until I reached the old ditch in the playground. That was my safe zone. I was just small enough to conceal myself in the dirt and mud. I took heavy breaths like my therapist had explained to me in case of an attack.
*Flashback Ends*
"Vivi? Earth to Vivianne!" Acacia said waving her hand across my eyes. I tilted my head up noticing I was lying on the field in front of our school.
"We're causing quite the scene her, let's get inside." She quietly murmured to me as she grabbed my hand helping me stand up. There were many glances being exchanged between us and the kids getting off the morning bus.
"What happened?" I whispered as we walked down the halls toward first period. Nothing wrong with being a bit early right?
"You had um.. another attack..." God she was so perfect, her messy blond hair in a perfect braid, her bright green eyes staring into mind with her perfect shirt and her perfect pants and her perfe-
"Are you even listening?" She asked tilting her head to the side and slapping my back.
"Y-N-Yes." I said nodding frantically.
"Sure." She said laughing and going to the front of the class when the bell rang. Here's the thing about our seating in English class. The smart kids sit in the front, like the ones who know the answer to everything, not necessarily the nerds. The C- kids, as we call them, hide themselves behind the smart ones because we all know who they are and so does the prof. Then there's us. The nothings who sit in the very back of class with Fs and Ds all over the place. I'm a nothing and Acacia's a smart one. How are we still friends? I have no clue whats so ever.
Mr. Nolan finished taking role as he had already started writing notes on the board. Could he slow down just a bit? I mean he's so bad at explaining and even if I asked for the slightest bit of help I would be "inturupting the rest of the class".
"Vivienne! Now!" He shouted as I brought my attention from my doodles to the board where he had writen without me noticing.
My eyes went wide and my face went red. What the hell? He NEVER calls on the nothings. It's been proven by the last 6 years of our school. I looked around until I spotted Acacia looking worried. She knew it was coming soon. The cakles were becoming more noticable and Mr. Nolans look was getting sterner. My heart was pounding in and out of my chest and I started shaking. It was here. Another attack. I dropped out of my desk and sat on the floor screaming and huddling into a ball. I could'nt wait to hear stories about this now.
"What's wrong with her?" Mr. Nolan shouted at the class.
"Get her to the nurse!" Acacia said. I heard her chair screech against the floor as she came over and took me over her shoulder. Over the years she'd gotton much taller so now she's much taller than me.
"You two get back here!" Mr. Nolan shouted as she ran out of the class towards the nurses office. I started to sob into her shoulder and I started to shake once again. I felt my back being plopped onto a familiar couch. I burried my face into the pillow and took deep breaths.
After I had got it together I sat back up and wipped the tears from my eyes.
"I-I'm s-sorry A.C. I d-didn't mean to." I said.
"Why are you sorry? This has more to do with you then me darling." She said resting her hand on my knee.
"T-thanks." I smiled.
"No prob." she said smiling back.
"You go get back to class, I'll meet you there in a bit. Covor up for me kay?" I said looking up to her as she got up from the couch.
"Got it! See you soon!"
"See ya..." I said getting quiet as she left the room.
Maybe another night I'll tell her?
Yea.
