So this is it, the day I've been waiting for my entire life. I'm finally leaving home to go to university and live with my best friend. Let's just say I never really had the perfect childhood you know the usual (strict parents, restrictions, favouritism to my other sibling and just lonely days etc.) Anyway, I've been waiting for the day that I could just move away from it all, and that day is finally here. Now that i'm 18 I feel like I can do anything. I've never felt so invincible.
*BEEP BEEP* I hear Amy's car come racing down the road (Amy's my best friend and also probably the most craziest driver I know.) "Sarah hurry up we're gonna be late" she yelled standing out of the roof. "yeah i'm coming just need to say bye", "ok but hurry i'm way too excited to wait anymore" she giggles.
"Bye Peanut" I say in a baby voice cuddling the life out of my cat, I get up and pick up my things and walk towards the door. I turn around as see my mom walking towards me with a tear rolling down her face. "mom" I say running to go comfort her, "it's just... it's just i'm gonna miss you so much", sobbing back into my arms. "mom i'm gonna miss you too but this is such a big opportunity that I've been waiting for", " I know darling and i'm happy for you, just remember to call me at least once a week and just stay safe". She says as she slowly kisses my forehead, " I will mom I love you" " I love you too honey".
As I walk out the door Amy comes and takes my stuff from me and puts it in the trunk. I turn around and wave goodbye to my mom as I get in the car. Then Amy blasts the radio and we start our journey.
