As we walked slowly among the busy people of central city, I saw a yellow figure in the distance on top of a building. I felt my heart start to race. I looked away hoping it was just my mind playing tricks on me, then I felt myself hit a wall, very hard.

The last thing I remember was my mother's crys as I felt myself slip away.

-

I awoke in a very bright room, again. Barry was in a seat beside me, but he was asleep. I sat up and he looked at me.

"Don't move!" He said, but it was too late. I felt a huge pain shoot up my back.

"Argh, fuck." I said, laying back against the bed.

"I tried to warn you..." he said. I heard footsteps and saw Caitlin waking in the room.

"Thank God, you're awake!" She said, running over to me.

"What happened to my back?" I asked.

"It's bruised pretty bad..." she gave me a look full of sympathy.

"Where's my mom?" I asked, looking at them both. They looked at each other.

"Reverse...Flash" Barry spoke up, and it seemed to hurt when he said those words, "took her, and we don't know where, or why.."

I looked away from Barry and up at the ceiling. Barry held my hand.

"We'll do everything we can to find her, Shaylea. I promise." He said full of emotion. I just shook my head. Barry reached up and touched my face, and I realized I was crying.

"I can't lose her too.." I mumbled.

A sudden flashback of my closest friend, lying there dying, because of what I did, popped into my mind. I shook the memory away, I can't deal with that right now. I have to figure out how to help my mother.

"Shaylea..." Barry was looking at me.

"Yeah?"

"Please stop crying." He begged. "It hurts me seeing you like this."

"I didn't know I was still crying.." I said.

"Maybe we should go, she needs to rest." Caitlin spoke up.

"Yeah, okay." Barry said, he seemed to have a heavy heart. Caitlin walked out and Barry stood.

I grabbed his wrist, "please stay with me." I begged, "I don't want to be alone."

"Yeah, sure." He nodded.

It's been two and a half months.. two and a half months since my mother disappeared. Two months since reverse fucking flash stole my mother from me, and in public too. Now everyone is rambling about there being unexplainable people with powers.

Caitlin, Barry, and I were at S.T.A.R. labs, I was pretending I was asleep, and they were trying to figure out how to find my mom.

"Caitlin, what if.." he started whispering softly, "do you think maybe we should tell her about the flash?"

"I don't know, she doesn't seem to be ready. She is going through a lot right now. Maybe we should wait.." Caitlin had spoken.

"Yeah.." Barry had said.

One month later

It was dark and I stood the roof of my house, it felt to empty inside without my mother. It was Christmas eve, and I had to spend it alone. Caitlin had plans with her parents, and Cisco. I didn't want to bother Barry, so I left it alone.

I was just watching all the go by, and I heard a loud noise, and I turned around to man dressed in all red.

"Shaylea, I want to help find your mother. Reverse Flash is one of my most powerful enemy's. You may call me, The Flash."

I stood completely shocked.

"I know, maybe I shouldn't have done this, but I want to help. A friend of mine said you've been upset, and he's afraid your condition may get worse. Let me help for him, okay?"

"Barry..." I whispered, "o.. okay.."
"Thank you." He sighed in relief.

"How did you know where to find me?" I asked.

"I have a friend."the shrugged and took off.

I smiled to myself, and went into the house to sleep. It's going to be a long, lonely day tomorrow. Chrismas day with no one to talk to.

I awoke because of my alarm clock, which I didn't remember setting. I groaned and turned it off, rolling back over. I heard someone walk in.

"Wake up! We've got a busy schedule." A person who sounded a lot like someone I know.

"Barry?" I said with my face in the pillow.

"Yeah, come on! Get up! I'll pull you out of that bed." He warned.

I made a growling noise and ignored his warning, which was a mistake. He grabbed my ankles and pulled me to the end of the bed and he picked me up, carrying me into the living room and setting me down on the couch.

"Barry! I wanted to sleep.." I pouted.

"To bad." He said shrugging his shoulders and going to the kitchen.

I looked around and saw he had cleaned while I was sleeping. How long has he been here?

Barry walked out with two plates of sausage, egg, and bacon.  He handed me one.

"Barry, you didn't have to do this." I said.

'I know, I chose to. You're one of my closest friends and I'm not going to let you sit at home depressed all day. We have plans."

"We do?" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Yeah, we have quite the day ahead of us. So, eat up. You are going to want your energy." Barry said winking, making me laugh.

"What about Iris and Joe? I thought you were going to be with them today." I asked.

"I told them I had other plans. They have been looking for a father-daughter day anyway." He stated.

"Barry.... you didn't have to do that for me."

"Yes, I did. I wouldn't have been able to have a good time knowing you were here by yourself all day." He said, taking a bite of food.

I looked at him confused for a moment and started eating.
