Favorite Superhero..?

Kate POV

I could not believe this was happening. Of all the questions to ask it had to be this one? I mean yeah why not put me on the spot Sebastian.

"After seeing him in that uniform we both know who your favorite is." My subconscious snickered from inside my head. There was no way I was going to say Bucky. Not that Bucky Barnes the character wasn't awesome, it's just that I am not going to give Sebastian that satisfaction of being my favorite. Honesty is the best policy. "Quicksilver." I blurted out while I was staring at the straw in my drink. Twirling it around has suddenly become my favorite thing to do to avoid eye contact. "No way!" Robert called out. This was the first time I looked up, and I'm glad I did. The shocked expressions were priceless. 'Time to own it', I thought. "Yes way. Quicksilver has always been my favorite, way back to when I was a kid." Aaron stood up to straighten out his suit jacket before smirking. "Sorry boys, looks like the lady has made up her mind." "She's got good taste too." Sam added as she pulled Aaron back down to reality. "Coming from someone who has read the comics, nice job at portraying him by the way. Not that the rest of you don't do great, but since you wanted to know who my favorite was, I might as well I've recognition where its due." I stood up to go excuse myself and went back over to the bartender to get myself another drink.

I ordered a virgin bloody mary but took my time before I headed back. I needed a breather. As I was about to turn around I felt a hand touch my shoulder. "Hi, I don't believe I properly introduced myself. I'm Tom." I was face to face with Tom Hiddleston, if Sebastian hadn't asked me to keep my cool I would totally be losing it right now. "Hi, I'm Kate!" We shook hands before he took a seat next to me at the bar. He was about to say something before I cut him off. "Do you truly believe Loki is just misunderstood?" He looked at me with his mouth half open before he let out a chuckle. He gave me a questioning look that could have almost made me melt before he responded. "Well, I mean he felt unappreciated growing up." He took a second to look at me as if to let me get a word in. "But Odin adopted him!" "He did, but for the wrong reasons." I took a sip of my drink as he ordered himself a coke. "I still think he's a bit of a psycho." He laughed again before turning to look me in the eyes. "You won't believe anything I say will you love?" We both started laughing again, the conversation felt normal.

Sebastian POV (I try \_(*-*)_/ )

After a few minutes Sebastian had noticed that you hadn't come back yet. He began to secretly look around the bar for you while pretending to be engaged in whatever conversation was going on around him. "And that's why Bucky is a villain, right Seb?" Sebastian was paying no mind in the conversation and nodded his approval to whatever question he had been asked just to keep up his act. "Told you he's too distracted." Robert muttered to Chris Evans, and the few others around him. "She's at the bar Sebastian." Jeremy spoke up. "Tom is keeping her company." Sebastian looked at Jeremy and focused enough now at what was being said to see that Kate was indeed at the bar. "Um thanks?" Sebastian sat back down at the table with everyone else and tried to play it cool. Nobody bought it. "Please!" Elsa said "I don't mean to stick my nose where it doesn't belong-" "Yes you do!" Chris Hemsworth interrupted her with a laugh and huge grin. "Hush!" She instructed Chris. "But why haven't you asked her out yet?" Sebastian looked over at Kate and back at the table. He was about to speak and then sighed instead. "It might be because her interest isn't in Bucky." Aaron snickered earning a laugh and a slap from his wife. "What?" He asked. "I'm only teasing him." The rest of the table rolled their eyes. "It isn't my fault she likes fast men." "Too bad you couldn't outrun that bullet." Sebastian said while smirking as he took a sip from his drink.

Kate POV

Me and Tom had been chatting a few more minutes before I worked up the courage to ask him something. "I know this might sound weird but behind the relaxed me is a really big fan of yours and I would love to get a picture with you. There is no way my family would believe me otherwise." He smiled before downing the little bit of his soda left. "It would be my pleasure." He stood up and held out his hand for me to take. "Would you mind if we took it outside? Sebastian might of told me to not fangirl tonight, and I'm not entirely sure if this counts as fangirling or not." "As you wish." He replied as I took his hand. We went out the backdoor to keep it discreet and had one of the workers take our photo. I saved it to my phone and we went back inside. "Would you mind sending me the photo?" Tom asked before he walked back over to the group. "Not at all. Here you can send it to yourself from my phone, that way I don't mess up your number." He took my phone, added his number, and handed it back to me. When we got back to the group they began to include us in whatever debate they were having but my phone distracted me by buzzing. I checked it and sure enough it was from work. "What do you think Kate?" "Wh-what?" I said as I looked up from my phone, as I realized how rude it was to be on it. "I'm sorry, I normally wouldn't be on my phone but it's my boss. I guess the schedule changed and I have to be at work tomorrow by 6 a.m." I glanced down at my phone again to see that it was already getting late. I was almost confused, I hadn't realized we'd spent so much time here. Guess time flies when you're having fun.
