*Hunter's POV*
School was absolute crap. I had a huge Calculus exam, that you know very well I did not study for, and I most definitely failed it. I honestly need a tutor, but I would never admit that to anyone other than myself. I approach the mirror to check out my appearance. I am not going to act like I am not attractive. I have dark brown hair with piercing blue eyes that just make girls melt with every glance I spare them. Most guys find me intimidating, and I would to if I looked like me. "Hunter, quit looking at yourself in the mirror. Conceited, much?" My sister, Leila, says. "No, just confident. Try and learn from me, little sis." I reply, with attitude. "Do not call me 'little sis'. I'm only a year younger than you. And honestly, I am the female version of you. Well, looks wise." I scoff. "You wish, Lei.""Hey, my friends are coming over today to help me with my audition. Please be nice. Also, one of my friends is in your grade. Maybe she could help your grades?" Leila says. "My grade do not need helping, okay!" I reply. Okay, I will admit. I am really unhappy with my grades. I have C's in almost every subject. I know I am not the smartest person in the world, which is why I depend so much on hopefully getting a football scholarship, because there is no way in hell that I will get an academic scholarship. "Admit it, Hunter. You need help. Mom will kill you if you failed." Leila says. I do need help, but I will never admit that to her. "Also, please clean up a bit. Give my friends a good impression of my older brother. I don't want them to think I live in a deranged family home. Okay?" I nod.
I decide to change from my all black attire into a light blue shirt with jeans. All I have to say is, Leila's friends better not be annoying. I hear Leila yell that they are here. Do I stay in my room, or meet the friends? If Leila wants me to meet the girl in my grade, she can bring her up here. "HUNTER GET YOUR UGLY SELF DOWN HERE!" Okay then. Guess she wants me to meet her friends.I stomp down the stairs, but stop when I see a familiar face. The girl in my grade. She has jet-black long hair with hazel eyes. She looks beautiful. Sydney Tanner. She is literally the smartest girl in our grade. I would take her pretty help in a moments notice. Did I just say that out loud? Thank god it was a whisper. "Hunter, this is Sydney-" "I know." I interrupt. "Oh! You two know each other?" Leila asks. "Well not exactly..." Sydney says a little awkwardly. "Oh.... And this is Jack." She finishes. "Your boyfriend?" I ask. Leila laughs. "As if. No, we are just besties for life!" I see Jack's smile fade a little. So maybe he likes her... Rough Leila.
"Nice to meet you guys. I will be in my room, if you guys need anything." I say, trying to get out of this awkward situation. "Oh no you don't. You are going to talk to Sydney about getting a little help." She says. I shoot Leila a glare as if to say, "How could you!?" "We will be down here, Sydney." Leila says nodding with her head, so that Sydney knows where to follow me to. Great.
A/N: The picture at the top is of Sydney. This is just the beginning of a terrible story that'll probably give me a lot of feels. :) Comment!
