*Sydney's POV*
The final bell of the school day rings. I am about to leave the school building after all my hard work when Leila basically knocks me over trying to catch me before I leave. "You are still coming over tonight, right?" She asks. "Yes, of course. Was that question really worth almost killing me for? You could have texted." I say, very sarcastically. I have been told that I have a tendency to get very sarcastic and sometimes people cannot tell the different between when I am being serious or sarcastic. "Well, no. I actually I have another question to ask. My brother extremely struggles in every single subject. He is your age and considering you are the smartest person I have ever met, I thought maybe you could possibly help him. Even if it was just a little." Leila says. "First, since when do you have a brother? Second, thank you. Third, of course." I reply. "Oh. You will be surprised tonight." She says, smirking. "What is that supposed to mean? Do I know him?" I ask, concerned. "That is for me to know and you to eventually find out. See you tonight, Sydney." Leila says all secretive.

Before heading over to Leila's house, I decide to change. I pull my hair down from its long ponytail and let it go back to its natural curls. I change into black leggings and a long green shirt and leave my makeup the way it is. Then I head to her house.

When I arrive, I hear her yell that we are here, to her brother I suppose. He does not come down so she shoots me and my other best friend, Jack, a look saying that she means business. Jack has been my best friend since we were babies. He is bisexual, and Leila and I accept him for who he is. He is such an amazing person. He is oddly super skinny.

Breaking my thoughts, Leila screams, "HUNTER GET YOUR UGLY SELF DOWN HERE!" WAIT. Hunter? Mr. Daniels? OH MY GOD I NEVER MADE THE CONNECTION. Leila is related to Mr. Popular AKA Hunter Daniels. He is such a jerk. How could Leila turn out so great considering Hunter is terrible? Hunter stomps down the steps and stops when he sees me. Does he recognize me? He whispers something to himself that I cannot make out. Leila introduces us to each other and Hunter says, "I know," when he hears my name. Leila asks if we know each other and I say, "Well.. Not exactly." He is the most popular guy in school so of course I know him, but how does he know me. He tries to return to his room, but Leila interjects so bring up the study partner thing. She directs me to his room. This should be fun.

I follow him up the staircase into his room. His room is huge. He has a large mirror with a bunch of pictures from his football games attached to it. It is a bit messy, but that is to be expected for a teen boy. "Uh-so this is my room. I am sorry if you feel pressured to help me. I don't need help..." He says, awkwardly. "Oh, no, I am going to help. Leila asked and she is my best friend, so why would I not help her brother?" I say, simply. He nods. "Great." He says.
