Chapter 8: Misunderstanding

Princess Jyuusan immediately run to Shuurei's side. ''Good morning Shurei-chan!'' she beamed excitedly. ''Follow me, I have something for you.''

''Um, wait Jyuusan-hime. Are they all here to see his majesty?'' she said nervously. Her eyes focused on Seiran and Shouka. They both sweat-dropped at the way she looked at them.

''Yes.''

''I see. Have they been here for long?'' Shuurei's eyes is now focused on Adviser Shou who smiled at her.

''Not really.''

Then Shuurei saw Prime Minister Yuushun. ''Wait I have something to say to the Prime Minister.''

''It's alright. He already knew,'' Princess Jyuusan said and dragged her away.

''Where are we going? I promised to prepare his majesty's breakfast,'' Shuurei mentioned.

''I'll help you with that later. But first I know you are exhausted too. Here drink this tea. I made this especially for you,'' Princess Jyusan placed the tea cup in Shurei's hand. The latter was forced to drink it.

''It's really good. I feel relaxed.''

''I'm glad. I am sure your whole body is aching after an exhausting night. I knew you only had a little sleep.''

''Yeah, it was really hard. Ryuuki kept on waking up. But after he relaxed I was able to sleep peacefully. I had to do him a favors though.'' That's when Shuurei remembered that Jyuusan saw them in an awkward position last night. She blushed. ''Um, I mean-''

''I am sure his majesty is extremely happy. He looked so contented in his sleep,'' Jyuusan said with a smile. ''Here have another cup. This is good especially when it is your first time.''

Shuurei turned red and dropped the cup as she finally understood why Jyuusan is treating her like this. She held both of Jyuusan's hands and asked, ''you entered the room while we are sleeping?''

''Sorry, I did not mean to intrude again. I was just going to check if everything is alright.''

''You saw us in that position?''

''Um yeah,'' Jyuusan replied coyly. Then she looked at Shuurei and said, ''you looked really cute wrapping him tight in your embrace. I'm sure his majesty will recover really fast. Most especially after what you did last night.''

Shuurei wanted to drown herself. Even Jyuusan is thinking that something had happened. ''Jyuusan, nothing really happened last night.''

''Shuurei-chan you do not have to be shy and secretive about it. You can tell me everything. Now come on, I'll assist you in preparing the meal for his majesty.''

Shuurei's head dropped to the table. 'It's like Jyuusan did not hear me say anything at all.' Jyuusan assisted her in preparing meal for everyone who was outside the emperor's room a while ago. Right now, those people are talking with Ryuuki and teasing him.

The doctor had just finished checking on Ryuuki and said that his condition had improved. He is likely to be fine after a night of peaceful sleep (which he hardly ever gets).

''Congratulations your majesty,'' Shuuei said with a broad grin. ''I am so proud of you.''

''Eh?'' was all Ryuuki could say.
