Being watched

Well today I started work, this job might work out, but the reason I'm writing is because of my co-worker. His name if Jake and he is cute and nice. I haven't seen around town so idk where he lives but it's ok I'll find out later.

Today is my second day of my new job working as a vet tech, this job is one I always dreamed of. So I drive 13 miles to work. When I leave its still dark out and everything is so quiet.

I walk in work, bright lights hitting my eyes so bad, I feel like I'm blind. As I get my eye sight back I ran into jake.

"Hey you" he said looking down at me
"Hey, sorry this light is bright" I replied
"Yeah it is" he said backing up so he can see my face
I turned around and head to the break room but I stop because I heard a loud crush. I dropped my purse and jacket and we walked around to the back ally there was a dog trying to find something to eat. It looks at us like a helpless animals. So I called him over and he came. I wrapped the leash around his neck and we walk back the the front were jake opened the door. We brought him to the back gave him food and water, scanned for a chip which they was.

So I called up the number and no answer. So I left a voicemail and put the dog in the kennels with the other dogs. The regular calls came in. I was just to go on my break when a tall man came in.

"Can I help you" I said as he walks up to the desk
"I hope you can, I got a call from here saying you found one of my dogs" he said
"Name?" I replied
"Baxter" he said quickly
" your name?"
"Sam kin"
"Yes we found him earlier this morning" I told him
I went to the back, got the dog, I had to carry him because he was so week. I walk by the desk and I noticed my purse was out. I don't remember taking it out but I have a tendency to forget stuff. I hand the dog over to his owner and went on my break. I put my purse back on the floor and I asked jake if he could pull the footage from the camera by the desk. I watch the video over and over. Jake asked if everything was ok.

"I don't know, Sam kin came in and told me that he got a call from us saying that we found his dog. I went back got the dog came back and when I came back and my purse was on the table." I told him

We looked at each, he hugged me and told me everything will be ok.

5'0-clock came around way to slow, I drove home, went in,when I went in I notice that my door was unlocked and a window was broken so I went back out to my car and I called the police, a officer went in looked around and came out and told me that no one was in but it was a good thing to call. I called Jake to come help me board up all the window till this guy is caught.
