Zayn's POV
"Lou, wake up. We're here", I wake Louis up. The rain has subsided a bit. I just sat there inside the car, waiting for him to finally gather himself up. The only noise there was the whirring heater together with the pouring rain.
" Zayn, where's...ugh", Louis slurred as he prop himself up. His head held on both his hands.
"Who, Lou?", I asked him. I pat his shoulder to sit and relax before we go out.
"Ju-Julie".
The way he mention her name makes me sad. It's not that I'm jealous, though. I feel sorry for him because he can't make Julie his.
I just sit there looking ahead of the stirring wheel. I watched raindrops constantly hitting the window, making the scenery muffled.
When I realized that it's getting boring in here, I get the coat at the back seat and drape it over Louis. I open the door and run to his side. I open his door and, literally, drag him towards the porch of our flat.
We passed by a car I haven't seen before. I turn the doorknob and scurried inside.
I shrugged my coat of then take off Louis' and hang it on the rack.
We walk down the hallway to the living room. There sat a boy with black hair same as mine, but his hair is kept sideways like Louis'.
I stand there for awhile when I saw Liam went out of the kitchen, mugs on both his hands.
" Hey, Zayn", he greeted. Then his gaze land on Louis who is about to pass out at any moment now.
"I saw him in a pub...", I start but he cut me off.
"You should have stop him", he said sternly. Really Liam? Scold me around a visitor?
" I'll go upstairs", I said nodding at the body draped by my shoulder.
Lesson learned, never let Louis drink two pint of beer, drive him home, and pick him up and put him in his bed. He's so heavy for his, well, his height?
I shouldn't have said that.
Anyways, when everything was settled I went to my room and change my clothes. Did I forgot to mention that he puked at my shirt? Very disgusting.
I put on a grey pajama and a white shirt. I go in the bathroom attached to my room and wash my face. I wet my hair, let it dry then make it a fringe across my forehead.
I went back downstairs and get a glass of water in the kitchen, then I head to the living room.
I sat next to Liam who handed the other mug to the black haired boy, who turns out to be Kevin.
He turn to me when I turn the volume of the telly a bit higher. His tan face was shaded by the light of the telly. I can see his brown eyes through his glasses. Yeah we both wear glasses, both have brown eyes, and tan skin; the only thing is--I'm more handsome than him. Ha!
"Hi there, Zayn. What's up?", he asked as he sip in his mug.
"I'm fine. What makes you go here, anyway?", I asked.
"Well, you see, Julie went to your rehearsal, right?", he said putting the mug down.
Oh shit, we almost forgot her. I think she's still there in the hospital.
" And her mum got worried so I'm here", he added.
I nodded and turn to Liam who is watching, at the same time looking at his phone.
"Hey, Liam stop that", I grab his hand. Man, why is he shaking?
"Sorry, I'm just...it's my responsibility to look after them in the first place", he said resting his face on both his hands. Overreacting, eh?
Kevin rub little circles on his back, reassuring him that it's not his fault.
"Harry said they'll be here in a minute or two", he said returning to his normal demeanour.
We watch in the telly for a few more minute until we heard a car pulled over outside.
" I'll open it", I offered. I walked down the hallway until I reach the door. I look at the small window parallel to the doorframe. It still raining outside. I get two umbrellas on its rack beside the coat ones.
I waltzed down the porch towards Harry's car. On my way there, I saw a familiar figure of a girl sitting in the passenger seat.
It must be Julie.
"Umbrella?", I asked as Harry rolled down the window in his side. Why did I ask it in the first place? Of course it is raining!
I handed it to him and went to Julie's side.
"I've got her. Is her cousin there?", He open the other car door and Julie got out.
She's wearing Harry's purple Jack Wills. Her cheeks were flushed because of cold weather. There's also a scarf surrounding her neck all the way to her mouth. Seems stupid but I find it adorable.
We go back inside the flat. Liam and Kevin stand up and walk towards the archway of the living room. Both of their arms crossed.
Hmmm, look what we have here. I think someone's gonna get scolded.
" I-I'll just get some tea", I tell them before going in the kitchen.
"...Do you know what time is it, Styles?!"
Here we go now
"But Liam, she's still sleeping and..."
"You could have just call me, Julie. Your mum is really worried about you", Kevin said calmly. To my surprise, he didn't even raise his tone!
I enter the living room again. Two cups of tea for Harry and Julie. The sight in my front makes me laugh, but I opted by showing a poker face.
" What's up with the standing?", I asked them then my gaze land on Liam.
When he met my eyes, he suddenly snap out of his short trance.
"Yeah, let's sit".After they finish the tea I made, Kevin bid his goodbye and ask Julie to go.
" Bye Liam, thanks for the tea", Kevin said.
Julie walk to me and wrap her arms around my waist. I return the embrace and rest my head on the crook of her shoulder.
"Is he okay, Louis?", she murmured so only I can hear it.
" He's a bit, well, he's drunk", I tell her.
She retract from our hug that leaves me cold, but I just shrug it.
She held a frown and, " Tell him I'm sorry".
"For what?", I'm quite confused about that one.
" I don't know", she said as she look down her socks.
"Okay".
There you go, guys! Chapter 20. So this is kind of my present for... Our 6th anniversary!!! More years to come to us and the lads.
Love,
K
