NEW BOOK!!!!!

Hey guys! Sorry, this isn't another chapter, I just wanted to say that I've released a new book called Hide & Seek. It would mean a lot to me if you guys read it so, I'm gonna leave the Prologue below and I hope that's enough! 

HIDE AND SEEK

*PROLOGUE*

"In The End as we fade into the night,

Woah oh oh!

Who will tell the story of your life?"

I sang, drunknly as I stumbled along the sidewalk in my tall heels leaning on my best friend, LIncoln, who chuckled from beside me and held my arm in place around his shoulders. His laughter made my body vibrate and a nice tingle run down my spine.

"You-" Lincoln said, grunting as he lifted me around his shoulders once again "-are so obviously drunk"

"Ladies and Gentleman,

Whores and sluts!

Ste-mmph!" I cried out as Lincoln placed his large hand over my mouth to stop me from singing.

"As truly 'beautiful' as your voice sounds, I don't think any of the neighbours want to be listening to it on a sunday morning at 3:00 am" He says from behind me. I lick his hand in an attempt to get him off me but he just looks at me and raises an eyebrow.

'So the fiend has become immune to my tricks, eh? Well, then, I shall have to do something completely unexpected' I thought to myself

'Yep, definately drunk' said my wolf, Leyna

But, before I had the chance to do my 'something unexpected', another being decided to complete the job.

It was the scent that filled my nose first. A vile stench that made me shiver in disgust. I'd never fough them before but I knew the legends.

Vampires.

All of a sudden, we were surrounded, enclosed by 4 vampires coming from all dirctions. I sobered up pretty quickly, my skin beginning to crawl with being within such close proximity to these horrid creatures.

Lincoln snarled at them, pushing me behind him so that he could protect me. The vampire directly in front of us smirked at me, not even registering Lincoln as a threat.

"Now, now little mutt. We have no quarrel with you, we just need the girl."

This made Lincoln growl and crouch down, preparing to shift.

My hands fisted at my sides. If they could get to us, they could get to the pack too and, just like werewolves, vampires tended to move in covens. 4 vampires were not a coven meaning the rest of their coven was most likely fighting my pack.

"What do you want?" I asked, anger and irritation evident in my tone

"Tsk tsk" he chided, wagging his long slender finger at me "Young ones. So impatient nowadays"

I was the one to growl this time

"What. Do. You. Want." I shouted through my gritted teeth, my alpha voice coming out now

"Patience, child. You'll get your answers. But, first-" he said to his companions "-kill the 

boy

He clicked his fingers and his minions descended upon us. Lincoln growled and shifted. I was about to shift and join his battle but a loud gunshot and a burning pain in my side stopped me from shifting too. It took a moment for the pain to properly kick in but, when it did, I screamed out in pain.

I regretted it instantly. Lincoln, who had just managed to kill one vampire, looked over at me, worry clear in his eyes.

Taking advantage of the fact that he'd left himself open, one of the vampires, a teenage girl with blood red hair and a feral look in her eyes, lunged at him and brought her teeth to his neck.

I cried out to him to warn him but it was too late.

The girl ripped her head back and with it came Lincoln's head too.

I felt my heart stop and hang there for what seemed like forever.

The main vampire smirked and waved at his minions. They nodded swiftly retreated.

My anger intensified but I couldn't shift. I looked down at my side and saw something glint in the streetlight. Silver. Of course. That would be why I couldn't shift . Silver weakens wolves and permits wolves from shifting.

My heart ached for the loss of my friend and I hobbled up from where I had collapsed earlier.

"You've got what you want" I said to him, my voice breaking "Now leave" 

He gave me a look

"Little doggy, don't you remember why we came here? For you, child" he said

"But what would be the point of just stealing you from here. There's no fun in that. So here's what we're going to do. You have 6 months to run. After that, I'll be coming after you. So run, oh grand Princess of Wolves"

He leaned closer to me and whispered in my ear

"Run..."
