They named it Fremtid.
Fremtid: future.
The thought to be perfect future created in Denmark by a team of scientists who thought they had cracked the code.
And maybe they had.
It was a robot, a elegant, slender, human in all aspects but two.
It had no sex, it was a genderless piece of metal.
And two, it had no heart.
It was thought to be the answer to everything.
Overpopulation: solved.
Death: solved.
Human needs: solved.
It was perfect.
Until it broke.
Fremtid didn't just break, they exploded. And in that explosion, something changed. The chemicals that made them think and feel evaporated into the air.
And thus began what everyone would soon call Endless Future.
Once it was in the air, there was no stopping it.
Once it was breathed in, there was no going back.
Slowly, it would transform the people.
Changing them through different fazes of robotization until they became nothing more than Fremtid. Genderless, loveless robots.
And thus began the Wonderlust.
