An Unforgettable Friend

Two Teenage girls are riding in a car, one of the girls whom is driving (age 16) and the other in the passenger seat. (age 14)
Appearing to be late at night, the 14 year old speaks- interrupting the other girl- "Yeah...um, just one question...Why are we at the park at 3 in the morning?!"

Laughing, the 16 year old responds "Cause YOLO!" as she aburtly turns the wheel and parks the car.

As they both get out, the girl continues to talk "Just look at all this open space! There's so much you can do here! Like I could do 20 cartwheels right now and nobody can stop me!"

"Why would you want to---Ugh...never mind." The 14 year old sighs.

"Listen you gotta understand where I'm coming from, right? I've always dreamed of doing this on my 16th birthday! Just embracing the freedom! ... Oh hey look...!" As if interrupting herself, the energetic 16 year old points over towards the monkey bars.

"Dude! Do you think I could hang upside down from these?" She says as she looks up in delight.
"No!" The 14 year old responds in an instant. "What if you fall?! You could break your neck!"
"Pain isn't always a bad thing" She says, winking as she hangs from the monkey bars, throwing her leg over one of them.

"If you keep living your life with that kind of mindset, you gonna find yourself in a really bad position..."
As the 16 year old listens to her friend, she successfully was now hanging upside down on the monkey bars. "Ohh? What kind of position? Doggy style?"

"Get your mind outta the gutter! Geez."

"I don't mean to be rude, but man, you're such a buzz kill. Party pooper even. You're younger than me, so why are you the one who's so cautious? ....and by cautious I mean totally boring."
Not giving the younger teenager a chance to respond, she goes on, "You're always 'no this isn't safe!' or 'that isn't a good idea..' Like c'mon! Open up a bit!"

"Speaking of 'Not safe', this entire place isn't safe. I mean really 2 teenage girls at the park at 3 AM? That's just waiting to be thrown on a headline of a news article, reporting that we've be raped or something." As she says that, she zips up her jacket with a worried look on her face.

The 16 year busted out laughing, "I'm sorry..I just.."-pauses to catch her breath-"How is zipping up your jacket gonna prevent you from getting raped? Like what the guys just gonna go
[in a deep voice, pretending to sound like a man] 'oh sweet that's a cute looking chick, lets see...-OH SHIT! Her jackets zipped up. Damn it and I was really hoping for some action...'?"

Looking embarrassed the 14 year old looks away, "Sh-shut up! Don't judge me ok!"

/////The older teenager continues to laugh, as the screen fades out and comes back with the two girls standing next to a building.//////

"Man someone sure does live close to the park." States the 16 year old.
"Y-yeah...I still don't see the point of being here." Appearing to be nervous, the girl shoves her hands into her jacket pockets, glancing around to check her surroundings.

"Oh my god! I just had a brilliant idea!" Announces the elder teenager.
"S-so...A bad idea then?"
Laughing again, the girl grabs a nearby ladder, placing it against the back of the house. Then she begins to climb the ladder, attempting to reach the roof of the house.

"What in the world are you doing?! That isn't safe!"

"I know, that's why I'm doing it. Things that are fun typically aren't safe," she winks as she happily proceeds to climb on top of the roof.

"Really? I don't see any life-threatening danger to playing video games, and that's fun to me..."

The 16 year old sighs in response, as she stands up.

"Not sure what crazy you're blabbing down there, but holy shit! This is amazing!" Standing on top of the roof, almost looking majestic ( with the wind blowing and the moon in the background ) she proudly puts both of her arms on her hips- as if mimicking a superhero stance.

"Man you should so try this! It's epic!"
"I-I'd rather not..."
The 14 year old looks up at her friend, and despite the dangers of what her friend is doing, she realizes something.

You know..Everything she does isn't safe and I'm pretty certain that she's crazy, but somehow....She gives off such positive energy...

"Hey..." For once, the 16 year olds voice is calm. Her back is faced to her friend as she speaks.

"You have no idea how much you're missing in life! To just let go of all your fears and live like you're never lived before. You're way too tense all the time, ya know?"

Suddenly the 16 year old forward-flips off of the roof yelling, "Check this out~!"
As if performing on a stage, she lands and furthers her momentum with more flips.
Though she stepped a bit wrong and stumbled sideways, seemingly twisting her ankle.
She fell down and landed harshly.

The 14 year old was left speechless as she ran to her friend for comfort.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?!"

The park was silent for about a minute until the 16 year old sprinted up, right back into action.

"THAT.
WAS.
EPIC!"
She yelled and even celebrated with a crazy victory dance.

"Thank god you aren't hurt..." Her friend sighs, relived.

The 14 year old closes her eyes, as she tries to slow her heart rate down.

///The screen goes black with only the sounds of the non-stop footsteps from the elder teenager who is dancing in the parking lot////

Upon opening her eyes, the 14 year old is astonished. Her eyes widen, and she began to blink consecutively - hoping that what she was seeing was a mistake.

Her friend was now spinning in circles...wearing the exact same clothes as her.
And the same hair style and hair color...
In fact, when the overly enthusiastic girl finally stopped spinning, even her face looked exactly like the 14 years olds...

I-It's like...looking in a mirror....What the...?

"Hey, what's with you? You looked concerned. And I mean like, more concerned than usual."

Even her voice sounds like mine!

"You look....I mean....Your clothes..." Unable to put into words, the 14 year old hesitates and begins to back away from her friend.

"Hm? My clothes? What, is there something on them?" Now examining herself, the 16 year old looks down at herself.

"Whoa! I'm wearing your gray jacket. No wonder I felt a bit hotter than usual." The girl shrugs care-freely as she takes the jacket off.

"N-Not just the jacket. You look... exactly like...m-me.."

"Well hey, maybe it's a sign."

"A...sign?"

Everything falls silent.
