A twinkle appeared in Lucas's eye and a smirk grows on his face. "You know more than you're letting on, huh?" I scrunch my eyebrows together. "What're you talking about?" Lucas's smirk turns to a frown, and his twinkle goes to confusion. "You really don't know?" "Um... no. Am I missing something here?" He shakes his head and loses all focus on me, getting lost in his thoughts. I wave my hand in front of his face and he slowly turns to look at me. He stares for a second, and a small smile forms on his lips. "You're a unique one, aren't you?" he whispers. I looks at his eyes, and a blush slowly creeps onto my face. He lets out a low chuckle and winks, before turning his attention to the class work. "I'll tell you at your house, it's not safe mentioning it here." I pout but drop the subject anyways, ready to distract myself until class ends.
The final bell rings, making me jump a little in my seat. I gather my things and look over at Lucas, expecting him to be ready to go. His head is on his arms, with his hair slightly drooping over his closed eye. His mouth is somewhat open, and pouted a bit.
He's way too attractive.. even when sleeping..
I lightly tap his cheek, and he lets out a small mumble. I smile and poke him again. He smacks my hand away and rolls his head so his arms are covering his face. I go to tap his arm, but before I can, he lets out one loud and pig like snore. I widen my eyes then double over laughing. Tears well up in my eyes and Lucas groans and sits up. "What's so funny?" He mumbles. I put my finger up, telling him to wait while clutching my stomach. After controlling myself, I slowly rise and with the most serious look I can muster, I raise my finger to my nose. Lucas scrunches his eyebrows and I use the tip of my finger to raise my nose up to resemble a snout and let out the loudest chains of snorts I could before losing control and laughing again. Lucas grins and gives me a weird look. I sober up and push his nose up. "You're now piglet to me." He shakes his head and smirks at me "You still haven't told me why all these pig references are necessary." I wink at him and slowly graze my hand across his cheek. I lean in close to his ear and whisper, "You let out the sexiest snore I've ever heard." His face falls and turns a deep crimson. "I did not! " I chuckle and pick up my bag. "You sure did, piglet." I wink and head out the door.
Lucas groans and grabs his stuff, following me to my car. I settle in the driver side, throwing my bag into the back see while Lucas climbs into the passenger side. "You don't have a ride to school, piglet?" I ask, pulling out of my parking spot. He lets out a deep, velvety chuckle and it takes all my willpower to keep my eyes on the road and not on his stormy eyes, or feather like hair. I shake my head, clearing those thoughts and keep my eyes forward. "I do, but it drops me off in a field near school." "Well, won't they be waiting to pick you up?" He shifts in his seat, and I can hear the smile in his voice. "No, she only comes when I call." A ping of jealousy goes through my chest, but I grip the steering wheel and drive on. Lucas leans forward and turns on the radio, and the rest of the ride is filled with Lucas singing absentmindedly, probably not even realizing it.
I unlock the front door to my house, opening it to silence. I frown and walk into the living room. "Could you please lock the door behind you? No one is home at the moment." Lucas shuts the door and saunters into the living room, plopping onto the couch. I turn the TV to some random channel and sit on the other side of the couch. He looks over at me and makes an angry face, scootching closer to me. I roll my eyes and throw one of the throw pillows at him. He knocks it out of the way and launches the other pillow at me. I dodge it and chuckle, then stick my tongue out at him. He shakes his head and moves as close to me as he can manage. He lowers his voices to a whisper, and looks straight into my eyes. "I'm so curious about you, Celia." I bite my lip and and smile. "As am I with you, you have yet to tell me what that spark was." He gets a boyish grin and grabs my arm. "How about I show you?" I nod, still biting my lip. Lucas closes his eyes and hovers his hand above my arm. Slowly, a blue light trickles from his fingertips and licks at my skin. A tingle goes through my arm, and spreads through my body. I small gasp escapes my lips, as the light crackles and bends, turning into multiple tiny lightning bolts. Each bolt sends chills through my body, and I shiver from the sensation. I look at Lucas, who's watching me with a hooded stare. He lets go of my arm, and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Lucas moves away from me and smirks. I gape at him, not knowing what to say
So many questions, but where do I start? Was he born with this? Did he learn this? Can I learn it too?
His eyes clear up and a grin spread across his face. "Pretty cool, huh?" I nod and smile. "How do you do it?" He brings his hand to his face, thinking of how to answer my question. "It's hard to explain really. What I did can be used in a lot of different ways. It can range from pain, to pleasure, and anything in between." His grin turns mischievous and he winks at me. I blush and lightly slap his arm, while he just chuckles. "There's only one word that can really give my little trick it's justice." He pauses and spreads his arms out for dramatic effect.
"Magic."
