Mirrors

I see you as a reflection on a mirror.

The sun is bright but the water is much too clear.

And even when you're far away, you are always going to be near.

Yet even when the mirror shatters, pieces of you are still around.

Like broken memories that we had together can always be found.

You're like a puzzle that I couldn't pick up and struggle to find the right piece that links everything together.

The piece of my heart will soon have a perfect match and shall never be misplaced.

Whether that image can be found, whether it can reflect you, yourself, or the many faces of you.

Each day goes by and the puzzle remains incomplete,

We kept it together as a reflection of two broken hearts.

As the pictures turn to ashes, the ashes became a phoenix, rising to mend.

Maybe, in the end, we can still be friends.

It's better to be friends than two broken hearts trying to fit a puzzle together.

Despite being broken, someone can heal them.

Healing fixes the pain that we kept for so long.

Love without pain is something hard to come by but, yet it makes us stronger.
