Kevin's pov:
It was late in the morning when i woke up next to mindy. I had this thought of being nice so i went downstairs and cooked her breakfast in bed i know its cliche but hey I'm a cliche person alright. After cooking the eggs bacon and toasting some bread i put it on a plate and took the plate to her room and placed it on the nightstand next to her letting the smell waft over her.
She woke up about twenty minutes later she sat up and took a deep breath in through her nose smiling and looking at me.
Mindy "did you make me breakfast or did my mom do it?"
Kevin "of course i made it who else would be so nice to there wife."
Mindy "my dad maybe?"
Kevin "besides your dad."
Mindy "no one i can think of."
Kevin "exactly."
Mindy "so when do you want to talk to the people about adoption?"
Kevin "whenever your ready i am ready."
Mindy "okay then after I'm done eating ill get dressed and we can go. Sound good?"
Kevin "okay. Yeah sounds good to me."
I smile at mindy and watch as she eats not really caring if it may seem a bit creepy.
After she got dressed we got in her car and i watch the sceneries of the city and the trees as she drove us to the place i didn't know where it was so she was doing everything like navigating and driving both.
We arrived at the place after about an hour or two it was a pretty small building it didn't have a lot of color at all just a small brown building reading 'Berman north adoption center for gifted children' didn't sound like a bad place so i smiled and walked next to mindy as we went inside and waited.
After about twenty minutes a older woman with a stern look on her face came up and spoke with us.
Lindsey "are you Kevin and Mindy hillener?"
Mindy "yes ma'am we are."
Lindsey "your appointment is ready follow me and we can get this done quickly."
Kevin "alright lead the way ma'am."
Our appointment lasted longer than i had hoped for but it went well.
Dick "okay so you passed all our tests you both said you lived with your in laws correct?"
Mindy "yes sir."
Kevin "that is correct sir."
Dick "alright we will be giving you two a call within the month for you to come pick up your adopted child we just have to see which ones are available and which ones really need a home."
Mindy "okay sounds good sir we will be ready."
Kevin "indeed. Have a nice day."
Mindy "yes have a wonderful day sir."
